I love the idea of this five-step process to attract, engage, and delight our customers. A challenging aspect of this process is developing the most appropriate and cost-effective content for each segmentation to best convert people from prospects to customers. We all have limited resources, and prioritizing those resources into developing content, tests, and successful results is a challenge we all face in our jobs.
For me I think the hardest part will be implementing the tracking and analyzing the reports. I haven't gotten that in depth with my website before and I am excited for the challenge, and to see what my returns could be.
I'll be hosting an office hour on March 10th 11:00am EST and thought of you and this post! We'll be specifically discussing these five steps with a subject matter expert. Our guest is also a product manager, so it might be a great time to come and ask some questions about HubSpot the product and how it relates to behavioral marketing. No pressure, but we'd love to have you. You can register here!
Very understandable. Hopefully you're able to use HubSpot Academy as well as our Knowledge Base to help you learn what you need. Be patient and gentle with yourself! It's a massive system!
I think all fundamental steps are equally important, but I tend to agree that defining the interactions that I want to track is the hardest bit. Not only because this will affect how I segment my customers but also because all other steps in the process will be based on the interactions i choose to track. Any thoughts?
I've heard this from a lot of people since making this post on Community. Not sure you have time or would be interested, but I'll be hosting an office hour on March 10th 11:00am EST to specifically discuss these five steps with a subject matter expert and some of the roadblocks people have expressed since the new Inbound Marketing Certification has launched. If you're interested, we'd love to have you show up. You can register here!
Great points. My thoughts are for you to track more KPIs than less, and then uncover patterns that result in sales, leads, or any other KPI that are important to your customers. (look into AI and machine learning to help you in this effort)
I concur, that the first step of determining the appropriate interactions to track would be the biggest challenge in the first step process. I agree that you would want to make your determinations based off your SMART goals
