What's your company's purpose?
Inbound is all about making your company easy to find for the people who need your help. But before you can do that, you need to understand the job your company was founded to do. So why was your company founded? What mission was it created to fulfill? Tell us in the comments below.
My startup is a B2B wholesaling marketplace that upskills sellers in a marginalised part of the world to become excellent wholesalers, and makes sourcing easy and seamless for buyers who previously had no access to the beautiful products made in this area.
I am still in the process of evaluating my shortlisted business ideas. But learning from HubSpot academy about the company's purpose supplemented my drive to put up a business for the core purpose of helping people address certain problems they are currently facing, which I myself am facing as well.
Electronic Merchant Systems (EMS) is a leading provider of payment processing and merchant services. Since 1988, we have been helping business owners realize their full potential and grow their financial well-being. We’re headquartered in beautiful Cleveland, Ohio, with offices and agents coast to coast serving tens of thousands of retail, internet, and start-up businesses nationwide. No matter where you are, EMS is never far away.
It is still in the ideation stage but the core idea is to make people responsible and accountable for their financial future. We can handhold through the theory and show the door, but individuals have to take the steps themselves.

I work at a university. Our purpose is to provide students with a quality, affordable education. Other purposes include conducting meaningful research, which in turn provides opportunities to the student clients.
In early 2020, my partner and I (both musicians) had planned a tour with stops in several states. When the pandemic forced venues to shut down, we started our video production company, RadBot Video Production, as a side project, creating a 4-part docuseries about the events surrounding the local music scene and several promos for music venues. Soon, we began helping other local businesses promote creative solutions through video.
Our purpose is helping businesses share their brand story and overcome challenges through video, drone services, and interactive 360 virtual tours. Our experiences and connections in the musics and arts scene allow us to find resourceful ways to work with both small business budgets and large enterprises.
Our company was founded to provide the clearest view of the Visitor Economy. I'm working on bringing that "clearest view" idea to a different vertical, even as our company is drastically shifting our service model from a consulting mindset to a SaaS mindset.
I"m not quite there yet, but I want to help women (especially those in recovery from drugs and alcohol) who never gave themselves permission to live in their own purpose to create businesses they never thought they could build.
My company's (InPost Group) purpose is to re-define the delivery experience thanks to technology to make it the simplest and most conveniet for end-consumers, therefore pleasing merchants and helping them grow European-wide.
My company Media Garcia transformed into a growth agency that focused on maturing small business marketing systems so business owners could grow their community and build relationships easier.
My company Bus54 was founded to help travelers book for their trip online and to avoid long queues in the bus park and to help transporters knock off touting. We are on the road to serve the whole 54 countries of Africa.
