Inbound is all about making your company easy to find for the people who need your help. But before you can do that, you need to understand the job your company was founded to do. So why was your company founded? What mission was it created to fulfill? Tell us in the comments below.
I work for a nonprofit (it's been around since 1850), so the organization has a pretty visible built-in "mission." The mission is essentially to make the writings and teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg optimally and widely accessible to a modern audience. Personally I work in the publishing department, producing books.
I'm a buyer persona for Hubspot: Dougie Down-and-Out
- Awareness: Feeling stagnant in my career, income not growing, feeling like I'm falling behind. I'm competing with so many others with my same or a similar skillset.
- Consideration: I decide to build new skills, particularly those with well-known certifications I can put on my LinkedIn, website, etc. HubSpot has a strong reputation and consistently ranks among the top recommendations for free, accessible
I run an agency named, SpreadOps, which is focused on providing AI automation to Marketing Agencies. My goal is to provide automation support like CRM integration, Funnel Optimization, Building AI agents, UX automation, etc., so the agencies can focus on growing their leads with less focus on the backend or repetitive tasks.
My company was founded to solve a real problem for the people we serve. Its mission is to provide reliable solutions that genuinely help customers reach their goals, remove obstacles, and improve their daily lives. Everything we do is centered on creating value, earning trust, and making it easier for people to get the support they need when they need it.
My companies purpose is to bring spritual power back into the power of our customers dollar. By intergrating opportunities to help their community with a purchase of RRR clothing.
Right now, my company is just me! And it has had a variety of purposes over the last few years, which is partly why I haven't been able to maintain a steady stream of business. I'm trying to do/offer too many different things, and it makes for a confusing marketing package. Something to work on!
Our company was initially founded as an alcohol producer in Germany because the founder was fascinated by the process of converting grains from his family farm into alcohol using fermentation and distillation. This was more than a hundred years ago so fast forward to today and we are a specialty chemical company that focuses on solving niche problems using our advanced, tailored solutions. We build the chemical bridge between where our customers' products exist and where their customers need them to be for problems that larger industry players neglect or overlook. We value speed, sincerity, and innovation to solve our customer's problems fast, right, and with cutting edge chemical technologies.
Hey, @quantumfreeze🙌 That is a cool story. I just took a look at your company homepage. Very nice! I love learning about how legacy companies find ways to thrive by leveraging what they are great at in new and innovative ways. Hope to see you around! — Jaycee

East West Pest was founded with one clear goal — to make homes and businesses safer through reliable, long-term pest management. Our focus has always been on prevention as much as treatment, using environmentally responsible methods and genuine local expertise. That’s why, through our ongoing work at East West Pest, we continue helping property owners protect what matters most while maintaining healthier, pest-free environments.

Love this question! A company’s purpose is really the heartbeat behind everything it does it’s what gives meaning to the mission, direction to the strategy, and healthy authenticity to every interaction. Inbound marketing works best when it’s built on that foundation of why. Can’t wait to read everyone’s answers and see what drives your brands forward!
Increasing visibilty of a brand across the internet is difficult and requires a lot of resource, many businesses are not in a position to do this work as they like time and budget.
The company exists to make this process much easier, faster and less technical through the use of AI. This results in an increase in sales and opens up time for creative and strategic thinking.
HI there, I just joined a company which is a merge of more or less four companies. To be honest I find it hard to describe the new build company's purpose. Let's see what time will bring ...
Our company was founded to help agencies stop losing profit on web projects. Too often, teams do great creative or technical work but still miss their margins because the process breaks down — communication gets fuzzy, expectations shift, or scope expands without clear conversations about budget. We exist to bring structure, clarity, and confidence to those moments. When we come in, we help get projects back on track and set up the systems that keep future work running smoothly. Our mission is to help agencies protect their profit through better organization and communication.
I’m a student, so I don’t have a company yet. But I really enjoy learning about how different businesses define their purpose and mission. It’s interesting to see how a strong sense of purpose can shape a company’s direction, it definitely inspires me for the future!
Our company was founded to provide affordable and convenient workout spaces, using high quality facilities and equipment in all corners of a nation, inspiring healthier communities.
