What’s an example of an effective content distribution goal?

There are several reasons marketers will distribute their content. Some hope their content will drive traffic to their website, while others hope it’ll help generate new leads.

Setting a content distribution goal is the foundation to building a strategy that drives results. This is accomplished by understanding the purpose behind your distribution efforts, and making your goal SMART.

What is an example of a content distribution goal you would like to set?

Remember, a SMART goal is specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound. To learn more about this, check out the Developing a Content Distribution Strategy lesson via HubSpot Academy.

An example of an effective content distribution goal:

Purpose: "Increase leads by creating blogs to further brand awareness and credibility."

SMART Goal: "To increase our incoming leads by 2% by creating 3 blogs per week for two months while optimizing our blogs using SEO and developing blog topics that align with customers in the awareness stage, thus bringing more brand awareness and credibility."

This is just an example and may need further improvements. The main focus was to make this a S.M.A.R.T. goal that was detailed and aligned with a purpose.

I would like to increase sales opportunities on our website by 10% in the next month. We are currently bringing in about 60 form fills per week on our quote request landing page and I would like to see an increase of 6 more by the end of June.

An example of an effective content distribution goal I would like to set as a BBA student is to increase brand awareness and reach. By distributing my content across various platforms and channels, I aim to expand the visibility of my brand and attract a larger audience. This can be measured by tracking metrics such as social media engagement, website traffic, and the growth of my email subscriber list. I would have a fixxed goal of leads and engagement.

Short Term Goal:

I would love to have 100 followers in the month of June( within one month) on my recently created IG account where I share skin care tips.

My goal is to reach  have 500 views on my post  and IG is the place where I am going to focus more energy on. The reason is vecause I seem to find more people there who wants to learn how to take care of themselves.

For GenoFAB, our top content distribution goal is to create a well-functioning and appealing website. The only aspect of the SMART goal I have for this is the time-bound aspect. We want to create this website in 2-3 weeks.

An effective  primary content distribution goal would be to create more inbound leads. The secondary goal would be: generate 100 inbound leads through a whitepaper download within a month.
