What's an example of a buyer persona with corresponding buyer's journey?

Buyer personas are key to creating a successful inbound business. Each buyer persona has his or her own journey to making a well-informed decision (i.e. buyer's journey).

 

The buyer's journey is comprised of three stages:

  • Awareness Stage: The buyer becomes aware that they have a problem.
  • Consideration Stage: The buyer defines their problem and considers options to solve it.
  • Decision Stage: The buyer evaluates and decides on the right provider to administer the solution.

Awareness: Meterosexual Matt is the only guy amongst his friends who still shaves. He lacks the advice he might get from buddies since they don't do a clean shave. He begins his information search.

 

Consideration: He evaluates the alternatives in front of him (Gillette, Remmingtom, ..etc) for the best shave possible. His loyalty to Gillette comes into play.

 

Decision: He executes his desire to have the best shave on planet earth and chooses Gillette Fusion.

Manish Potato Wholesaler.

 

What does your journey look like to doing business with them?
: I am creating the buyer persona for the local potato wholesaler

 

: Awareness Stage: The buyer becomes aware that they have a problem the potatoes are less in stock

Consideration Stage: The buyer defines their problem and considers solutions.
: the buyer has to sell to a large number of local people so he considers visiting the local potato wholesaler

 

Decision Stage: The buyer evaluates and decides on the right provider to administer the solution.


The buyer visits a nearby local potato wholesaler compares the prizes watches the interviews of local big wholesalers and decides to buy.

Awareness: Jack is a creative artist who is also passionate about sales, he is contemplating on what social media to push his art and build a community. 

 

Consideration: He creates different handle on various social platforms, while considering which platforms to focus on posting and pushing his art consistently on.

 

Decision: After researching and reading reviews of small scale businesses and creative on how Tiktok change their life for good, by boosting their sales and giving them a community and how the algorithm pushes creative contents, he decided on Tiktok.

Awareness Stage: The buyer's car keeps breaking down and realizes that he will need a new one. 

Consideration Stage: He is debating between Honda and Toyota because they are the most reliable car manufactures. 

Decision Stage: He finally decides on a toyota becuase of the excellent services he got while looking at the cars and all the benefits included with his car.

Awareness: A physician is aware that they are spending more time completing documentation than talking to their patients.

Consideration: The physician considers various options to help with their problem including reducing their patient volume, hiring another provider for their practice, or hiring a medical scribe to help them complete their documentation.

Decision: The physician decides to hire a medical scribe, and researches a list of medical scribe companies and compares their services and prices.

Consideration: I compare Garmin with competitors like Raymarine, focusing on features and reliability.

Decision: After reviewing feedback and testing demos, I choose Garmin for its fit and purchase it.

  • Consideration Stage: The buyer looks for the fastest, easiest and sustainable way to lose weight ,buyer might consider metabolisim pills, gym membership caloiore counter slim down programes and diets
  • Decision Stage: The buyer has chosen a method and is now consiendreing providers eg weight manegment programs , providers available WW(Wight watchers) ,Loom and Mayo clinic diets program (my program)

Consideration: Looking over what is popular and things that interest them, online shopping.

Decision: Looking across different sites and in person stores and asking friends about it and buying.

Consideration: The realization that a CRM with marketing automation better helps collect data and utilize it to Attract, Engage, and Delight.

  • Awareness Stage: A person who's looking to change a career, wanting to become a Project Manager to get higher salary as he is not quite contented of his current income. Only available every weekends and/or weekday evening.
  • Consideration Stage: Considering to enrol in an online school. Searching to find a couple to choose from that answers to what he's looking for.
  • Decision Stage: Choosing the online school the fits what he's looking for and has a great reviews. Has a schedule where he can surely attend to and finished the course.

Awareness Stage: I'm looking for email marketing certifications to give me more credibility as an email marketing freelancer.

 

Consideration Stage: Hubspot offers free certifications just for signing up. They are a well-known brand.

 

Decision Stage: I sign up for Hubspot to take certification courses.

Awareness: I need more subscriptions for my fitness program, as the cost of running it with a handful of clients is slowing gym income and overworking me.

Consideration: I need captivating ads and solid leading email copies sent to all my clients and leads gotten from my friend's sports shop downstairs.
Decision: Who is the best copywriter that can guarantee me a 10x raise in my subscriptions? A higher subscription means more money coming in, and an increased ability to hire 2 more coaches to free me some more time to work on growing the business.

Ismail has a cleaning busines and he wanted to scale his business by making his online presence strong and by so he can reach out ot more clients. 


Consideration Stage:
He decided to build a website for his business and start marketing to get more potential leads and to achieve this goal he started searching for Marketing agencies and searching about the CMS platforms. 


Decision Stage:
After speaking with multiple vendors he is asking for proposal for each company and comparing them with each other, he also searches about the companies, thier reviews and then choose the best among them

Buyer person: Rebel Redhead

 

Buyer Journey:

Awareness

Rebel Redhead is frustrated with the options of make up available from traditional make up brands. The mascara is too dark. The brow products too dark or too blonde. She knows she's not the only redhead with this challenge. She starts Googling keywords like "make up for redheads" and  "best mascara for redheads". 

Consideration
She starts comparing her findings - brands with extensions for redheads not carried in stores, make up brands she's not familiar with that are based in other countries, and redhead owned brands dedicated to only redhead products. She reads reviews and watches videos to see what others say and what the product looks like on a person without filters.

Decision
She evaluates the options based on color suitability, availability, cost, returns policy, ability to try in person. She decides to go with the redhead owned small business that focuses on cosmetics and accessories only for redheads. It also has raving reviews of its products though it cannot be tried on in person at a store like other brands.

Awareness Stage

Joan is planning an event for her company.

She wants to know what she needs to deliver an outstanding event, that not only helps her company achieve their objectives but also score her some major points with her supervisor. 

 

Consideration Stage

From her research, she discovers she needs a professional corporate emcee. She researches corporate emcees that would be a great fit for her company and event.

 

Decision Stage

She makes a list of corporate emcees from her research and digs deeper to understand each emcees' unique value, experience and past clients reviews. She chooses the emcee that she believes best suits her event.
