The flywheel represents your company as a whole, but you’ll still have funnel-shaped charts and graphs representing the effectiveness of different processes within your company, and it’s important to make sure those funnels are fueling your flywheel. What possible funnels exist within your flywheel?
I'm currently in higher ed. The funnel could be in the recruiting process, since more prospective students funnel into student's who've paid deposits, who in turn are students who show up at orientation, who in turn funnel to students who show up at the start of the term. The flywheel is the cycle of recruiting to student to alum to recruiting (next generation), etc.
I have a small shoe boutique. I attract my customers by posting on socials using relevant captions, hashtags and trending music/sounds on tiktok and reels. I created a whatsapp group and catalogue for the business to engage my customers. they are free to view and ask questions. I delight my customers by answering the questons swiftly and providing more info like the length of the heel if they have any concerns, or what shoes are best for different kind of events etc...How many people enter the group after a post and how many inquire and then proceed to make an order feels me in on the funnel metrics.
Based off my service model. For PR and agency services.
Attract - I would create content that would solves the problems that people face in public relations (PR) such as How to guides and social media scenario based content.
Engage - CTA, scheduled follow up's from website enquiries, respond on social media, creating conversations.
Delight - Referral scheme, customer spotlight on website and social meda, regular contact and availability.
The funnels that exist within our flywheel include the acquisition of prospective high school students into enrolled college students, the registration of enrolled students into the basic language sequence, the transition from the basic language sequence to the minor coursework, the transition from minor to major, and the bridging from major to study abroad student, and eventually to graduation.
I am interested in digital marketing in the pharmaceutical industry. Here are some examples of funnels inside the flywheel! Attractive: Quality raw materials and experience. Explaining the quality product by talking about the difference with digital communication. Engage: Customer reviews, word of mouth Pleasure: Special coupons for returning customers.
I don't represent a company. But learning the flywheel model gave me a clear vision on how to run a company and how to mitigate different roadblocks in the process within its components.
Sales funnel, Marketing funnel, Product/service delivery, Complpaints (customer service), Referral programs and initiatives and in repeatable purchase models ive woked with i'd say repurchases
In the flywheel there are Attract, Engage, Delight. Now the funnel can be detailed again, the steps to get Attract, then the funnel from Attract to Engage and Delight. And so on. I understand this even though I don't currently have my own business. But it can be very useful in my current world of work.
I don't represent a company, but I love the change of visualizing a company's business model from a funnel to a flywheel. People's attitude at the bottom doesn't affect the top in a funnel, whereas a flywheel will keep spinning. The inbound methodology attracts, engage, delight is a much better way.
My business only consists of myself providing a service. I am in the infant stage of my business. But in my flywheel I try to ATTRACT potential customers with social media, ENGAGE striking up general conversations of what their current pain points are and inviting clients for a consultation DELIGHTING them with an example of what my services can do for them, which when service is provided is transformational for them on a personal level. I am very new to this INBOUND stuff and am learning as I go.
According to me the flyweel funnel consists of three parts:
1- Attract
2-Engage
3- Delight
Although, i am not working in any company currently, but i have done variuos of internships and I can say I have tried to practce these so that the company can grow.
I dont represent a company, but I can understand that we have to have capture the right mass audience to get the best prospective clients which can bring. I think most of the small businesses are still going through the traditional flywheel approach as first their marketing team goes out and analyze the market, then after their sales team verifies the leads and finally their sales lead conclude the deal to make profit for the company.
