An SQL is contact in a company that matches our criteria (business type, financials, size...) and where the contact has shown sufficient interest or raised hand to make a 1on1 contact worthy for a acquantaince and discovery to discuss businees matters and potential deal.

An sql for my type of business is someone who has decided to agree to a free demo. That only comes after they have signed up for a newsletter, been sent emails helping them improve their ratio for free, and them uoltimately wanting to try the free trial

For us it would be the prospect that requests an online or offline meeting tat way we know they are serious about getting it done. This would be a transition from MQL to SQL for us.

In my business this would be someone who has downloaded the price list and then perhaps returned to the website to follow up. This shows that they are interested and can then be followed up with a ‘book a free consultation on our calendar’ email.
