Objectives and key results (also known as OKRs) is a goal-setting system that helps to ensure that the company focuses efforts on the same important issues throughout the organization. What is the main OKR you're focusing on right now?

I'm a buyer persona for Hubspot: Dougie Down-and-Out

- Awareness: Feeling stagnant in my career, income not growing, feeling like I'm falling behind. I'm competing with so many others with my same or a similar skillset.

- Consideration: I decide to build new skills, particularly those with well-known certifications I can put on my LinkedIn, website, etc. HubSpot has a strong reputation and consistently ranks among the top recommendations for free, accessible

Right now I'm working on developing OKRs to get my Inbound strategy off the ground by March.

Objective 1: launch a video podcast around the topic of importance of how people are involved in technology making the biggest difference in outcomes. Key results are:

KR1: Get equipment.

KR2: Plan and record 3 episodes by March.

KR3: Launch outreach to podcast and promote using content to post 2-3 video clips per month.

KR4: Identify next interviewees and plan a new episode one per month.

Objective 2: Host a monthly webinar to teach business stakeholders about CRM.

KR1: Poll business community to understand local issues related to CRM.

KR2: Plan and record 2 webinars in advance at all times.

KR3: Promote webinars targeting Monterey County.

KR4: Share webinar content accross social platforms.

Objective 3: Host a local event once per year to bring organizations together to learn from each other and new ideas around people first technology implementation.

Just writing this out right here was actually very helpful.

Does anyone have any feedback I can incorporate?

As a one-person team, my current objective is to make myself more marketable, and my KRs are to complete Hubspot Inbound and Email Marketing certifications by the end of the year.

For my digital fundraising clients, my objective is to retain more recurring donors and expand our pool of recurring donors. Binary KR: Did we set up an autoresponse for new recurring donors? (The CRM and payment processor don't fully sync, so this takes extra work.) Numeric KRs: Add 5-10 recurring donors every month and retain >75% of current recurring donors each month.

Imagine you stand in front of a mirror to see whether your overall look is on point. That mirror is your OKR.

  • Objective: the look you’re going for.

  • Key Results: the measurable checks that prove it (pressed shirt, polished shoes, colors matched, out the door by 8:00).

If it can’t be checked, it’s not a KR. If it doesn’t change the look, it doesn’t belong.
Set 1 clear Objective, 3 sharp KRs, review weekly — that’s how you should track your organization’s results every day.

My main OKR for the next year is to help transform the one-person company I recently joined into a small, well-rounded team.

Right now, we mainly manage and monitor servers/NMS for a few Wireless Internet Service Providers around the world. But the bigger goal is to expand our focus, to not only handle the tech side but also start offering marketing services to small businesses, especially across the GCC, MENA, and Europe regions.

Excited to be a part of this community!

I'm a freelance Podcast producer and my OKR is to find more people whose podcasts I can produce.

You must share your portfolio with the community, and also an offer that we can't refuse 😀

I know nothing about podcasts but I am always willing to learn.  What is the charge for this?

Producing podcasts is as simple a zoom call with a friend.

You just need your laptop, a friend on the other side of the zoom call, and some very basic video editing skills or a Video Editor/VA (virtual assistant) on a Fiverr or Upwork.

For practice purposes, you may also start the zoom calls with these VAs, and ask them to show you their whole process.

Start doing the same with your closest friends, once you are comfortable with it.

Hey, that's a great goal, but would be better if it was measurable and specific 🙂
Something like "5 podcasts produced by Q2 of 2026"!

My husband and I started a business 3 years ago selling Damascus knives.  We are in our late 50's and have no business experience and very little computer knowledge.  We have come a long way in three years, but I know we can do so much better.  I have created a website and we have more than doubled our profits.  Most of our sales are still coming from my husband doing vendor shows, but I want most of our profits to come from online sales because he is getting older and traveling is taking its toll.

Objective:  Increase online sales to $1000.00 per month by Jan. 01, 2026

        1. Learn how to create workflows to increase awareness and sales

        2. Learn how to increase visibility on Google

        3. Improve my website

Hey,

Not sure if you are already doing it, but I think you should focus on your email strategy:
- Email 1: your story (why you love Damascus knives)

- Email 2: Best-sellers or customer favorites

- Email 3: Care tips + a small discount to buy again

And ask your existing customers to send in their pictures using these knives, a short video is even better.

Have fun creating content for your online marketing.

Best,

TurabG
