What's your current role?
I've worked in marketing for the past 15 years. I left a role as Chief Marketing Officer of a textile company in August, and am currently working with my local Chamber of Commerce to do small business development with many businesses in my community. While I am enjoying this new venture, I miss the day-to-day marketing work and wanted to take some HubSpot courses to expand my knowledge and freshen up my marketing acumen. 

What industry do you currently work in? 
I currently work in small business development. 

Tell us about a project you've worked on that's inspired you. 
There are many inspirational projects that I've been working on recently. In December, I worked with a small business in the area and guided them in creating a marketing plan to announce the opening of a second location. This was very meaningful. 


How do you help your prospects and customers grow better?
Listen. Listen. Listen. Your customers will provide you with the best feedback--both good and bad--regarding your product and service. By listening to them, you can develop more opportunities to meet their needs and perfect your offering.

Hello, I am looking forward to learning and grwoing as a marketer with each of you. 

 

  • What's your current role?
    • The company I work for went out of business last week; however, my position there was as a marketing demand generation manager
  • What industry do you currently work in?
    • I've spent most of my career in lead gen for higher education, but most recently in lead gen for health insurance (ACA & Medicare)
  • Tell us about a project you've worked on that's inspired you. 
    • At the healthcare company, we were generating inbound calls for our sales agents, but I found that we did not have an outbound dialing strategy for records that did not turn to sales.  I pointed this out to the C-Level and was asked to work with operations and technology to set up an adequate outbound dialing strategy.  In short, we were able to get this set up to maximize sales from missed or aged records by capitalizing on outbound dials when agent idle time increased in the call centers.
  • How do you help your prospects and customers grow better? 
    • The best quote I've heard for marketers is "There are no marketing experts, just testing experts." That quote applies to this question.  I approach prospects and customers with the mindset they are interested in the product or service I'm offering, or they wouldn't be in the prospect/customer category.  Following this I set up segmented messaging to nurtur prospects into customers and to help customers stay that way (retention).

    • I currently work as an admin at a regional arts and culture magazine. I primarily work with advertisers publishing and corrdinating their advertising collateral.
