Help Me Categorize the Buyers Journey of My Posts

Hello everyone! I am new to the study group.

I am currently doing the Inbound Marketing Certification and I am struggling to learn the Buyer's Journey and how to categorize topics.

So, to practice, I have created a list of Blog Posts on the web design and digital marketing topics, the goal is to sell web design services.

Please could you check how good did I categorize them?

Any feedback is well appreciated.

Here's the list:

  • The Digital Marketing Ecosystem: Definition, Elements & Why - Awareness
  • Digital Marketing Questions To Ask When Evaluating an Agency - Consideration
  • Digital Marketing vs Social Media Marketing: Which is Better? - Consideration
  • What is a Digital Marketing Agency? Must-Know Information - Awareness
  • Digital Marketing VS Traditional Marketing: How To Choose? - Consideration
  • Is Digital Marketing The Future? (You Need to Use it NOW) - Awareness
  • PPC vs PPM: Key Differences And Which One You Should Use - Awareness
  • PPC vs CPC: Key Differences, How They Work & Their Value - Awareness
  • How Organic & Paid Search Work Together? (Must Know Stuff) - Awareness
  • Is Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising Worth it For You? - Consideration
  • Email Marketing Management Services - Decision
  • PPC Management Services - Decision
  • Website Update Services - Decision

@LeandroS it looks like what you have is a really good start and I think the classification for each stage looks like a pretty good start.

There are a few in the Awareness stage that I'm not so sure of, because someone would have to "know" what PPC vs PPM means to search for it. Those seem more like consideration stage, when they've already identified their issue.

An awareness question for a PPC topic might be something like, "Should I advertise on Google?" or "Are paid ads a good fit for my marketing strategy?"

I like to think of Awareness as what question are they trying to answer, and how would they type it in search?

This is how I like to think of the stages:

Awareness = I have a problem

Consideration = I know what the problem is

Decision = I'm ready to solve the problem

I hope this helps!

you're welcome @LeandroS , I'm glad this was helpful!

wrapping your mind around buyer stages and content alignment can be tricky, it helps to remind yourself what your buyer is asking during each phase and isolating what they already know (the problem) and what they don't know (the solution) so you can categorize the content accordingly.

Hi Jennifer,

I love the simplicity in your stages. It makes it easy to understand and follow the stages a buyer goes through.

Thanks

Hi @LeandroS,

Great job on creating these blog posts!

I wanted to invite a couple of experts to see if they can provide feedback on the Buyer's Journey   categorization:

hi @Jonno_Price@Katherinegavin1@Jnix284, do you have any thoughts on Leandro's list?

Thank you!

Cheers
Mia, Community Team
