Greetings, Inbound Marketing Enthusiasts!

Hi @Joseph2 and welcome to the HubSpot Community!

A quick note about me: I've been using HubSpot since 2010, and have found great success with it. I'm now a trainer and consultant for HubSpot users.

Here's some advice I've shared with folks over the years:

Stay curious. It's important to keep learning. Even after 14 years in this space, plus 10 years in TV news before that, I'm always learning. At least, I try to stay humble and open to new information and new ways of doing things. So, stay humble and curious.

Get good at analyzing. I'm not an analytical person by nature. I'm more creative. But I know how critical it is to look at what you're doing, dig into the data, and analyze it so you can decide what's working, what isn't working, and adjust.

Get connected. Especially in our more remote-work world, it can feel isolating to work in marketing. I believe we work best when connected. Brainstorming, hearing new ideas, staying connected to culture... it's all important to our work. However that works for you, keep in touch wioth folks!

Focus on community-driven marketing. I love to emphasize the importance of community in the future of marketing. Building connections and trust within communities is becoming increasingly crucial for marketers.

Understand fundamental human desires (psychology). Despite rapid changes in technology and marketing techniques, most of our basic human wants remain constant. We all want to be seen, heard, and understood; to belong; and to matter. Add this understanding to your marketing.

Opt-In Connections: There's immense value in creating connections that people voluntarily choose to be part of, whether through social media, online forums, or other platforms.

Reminder to my first point: Keep learning. I'm involved in teaching HubSpot and our products built on HubSpot to our clients, new users, and team members. To keep up on this I have to learn everyday.

Hope that helps!

And thanks for the tag @kennedyp!

Greetings, Inbound Marketing Enthusiasts!

Hi @Joseph2! Welcome to the HubSpot Community and thanks so much for your post.

To start, I will share this existing thread where some of our active community champions shared their insight and experience with Inbound Marketing at HubSpot.

Let's also ask some of our study group members what they can share! Hey @danmoyle, @BEverette, @JMiscala, @RAyikwei -- what are some of your key takeaways or golden nuggets of knowledge from your Inbound Marketing experience at HubSpot?

Best,
Kennedy
