From my point of view, my favorite coaching tactic is using open-ended questions that encourage reflection and ownership. Instead of telling someone what to do, I guide them to think through their own challenges and come up with solutions that feel authentic to them. It builds confidence, sharpens their decision-making, and helps them grow faster. I’ve found that when people arrive at insights on their own, they’re more committed to taking action—and that’s where real progress happens.

Constructive criticism coupled with active listening is my favorite coaching strategy. It's one of the best ways to help someone get better, in my opinion, because it demonstrates sincere support and understanding. A coach can identify a person's strengths and areas for improvement by first paying close attention.

I like one on one because it helps to understand better and focus better

Doing it by Example...

Honestly, if I can't close in front of a trainee, I should not, be coaching.

I like to have impromptu coaching sessions. Pull asides for a 5 mins throughout a week are very helpful. You can catch a lot of issues or questions real time.

For an Individual Sales Rep I conduct a one to one meeting to identify the shortfalls and then develop a training program that addresses the shortfalls and improves the rep.s performance, I drive the rep to collaborate with another team member for field visits and chalk out his/her own sales strategy but within the framework

i believe in leading by example; I believe the best coaching strategy or tactic is to show sales reps how to improve on diffrent things like scoping accounts and closing deals

For new reps I like to coach pre-call research and the prep they need before making sales calls. Its awesome watching them start to understand and identify good prospects based on the research.

For me, it´s about listening a great deal.  Showing the rep that I´m open and willing to help but, previously, giving the tools and resources so that he himself can asses his own process.

Personally, I like one-on-one meetings where I can listen to each sales representative, comprehend what's happening, and provide feedback while also utilizing our data measurement tools.

Understanding the feedback data and how we can use they internally.

Active listening and feedback with data that measures the seller's performance; one on one is better for me.

My favorite coaching tactic is when the one being coached must rewatch a video of their performance with someone that is an expert in the selling process. In that way the associate can see step by step what may work better for them and their clients.
