Inbound sales transforms sales to match the way people buy. It's all about meeting prospects where they are and helping them move toward a purchasing decision. Is this different from the way you're used to approaching sales, or have you been doing sales in this way but calling it something else? INBOUND SALES FOCUS ON THE BUYER NOT ON THE PRODUCT. IT AIMED TO UNDERSTAND VERY WELL THE BUYERS INTEREST AND PAIN POINT AND HELP THIS LAST ONE TO MAKE A GOOD DECISION WHICH WILL SURELY HELP TO SOLVE OR SATISFIED THE BUYER'S NEED. I HAVE NEVER DO THIS BEFORE. IN THE SALES COMPANY WHERE I AM, WE DO FOCUS ON THE PRODUCT THAN THE BUYERS BECAUSE WE JUST WANNA SELL BUT NOW I'M LEARNING GOOD WAYS OF CLOSING DEAL FROM YOU GUYS. Inbound sales begins with a Customer-Centric Approach to understanding the customer's needs and pain areas. It is about solving issues and offering value to customers rather than selling them items or services.
What my take is, to make sure you are identifying what the prospects' needs are and how best to tailor your solution to those needs and also to build and have the prospect come back as a satisfied customer for repeat business.
Inbound sales is focused on helping the prospect solve a problem through education and empowerment. The high-pressure, seller-focused tactics are a thing of the past.
Inbound sales is distinct from traditional outbound methods because it revolves around attracting potential customers through informative content and personalized interactions, rather than actively seeking them out. It focuses on building trust and addressing the specific needs of leads, fostering a more natural and non-intrusive buying journey.
Inbound sales is buyer-forward, whereas outbound sales is seller-forward. Because the buyer posesses the power with inbound sales, a successful saleperson seeks to address their individual goals and needs.
Inbound sales differs in that, as a salesperson, I'm no longer spending countless levels of effort trying to convince a purchaser they need something they didn't know they needed, or in reality, don't necessarily need at all. This is much more comfortable and feels personal when the discussion is diverted away from the know-it-all salesperson with his cart full of remedies for whatever ailment buyers may or may not have (little slight of hand and now you have it, too. You're gonna need a double order of tonic while we're at it! 🤑). This approach is less pushy, and more leading, less intimidating and doesn't leave a buyer scratching his head (because, "what was I thinking?") but looking to the future and other solutions they can find with you.

Who starts the sales relationship is where inbound and outbound sales diverge most. In outbound sales, the sales professional contacts the prospect first; in inbound sales, the prospect contacts the company first.
Inbound sales is similar but different to how i've been doing sales as it defines the stages of the decission making proccess more effectively. I simply had new customer, informed customer, closed customer.
