In my previous role in a tech organization, we had come up with a mobile based application that was meant for project management. However, some users of the product found it fit to use if for event planning and coordinating logistics due to the collaboration features it had. The firm was able to note this and decided to enhance the event plannjing features and this was an indication of how users and their abiliy to innovate can shape the development of a product.

If I were a sales manager, the tasks I could see my product being used for most often include improving CRM, increasing efficiency in the sales process, and maximizing revenue generation. The product's strong analytics, automation of mundane chores, improved sales team communication, and insights for data-driven decision-making would make it very desirable. A product that aids in lead creation, prospecting, and sales funnel management could also pique the interest of clients. The end aim of using sales management tools and technology is to boost income, increase efficiency, and ensure long-term client pleasure.

We sold software to real estate agents. Our best clients always always hired our product to help them automate their busy work. This means communication, paperwork, tasks etc... the worst clients were the ones that wanted to massively grow and didn't mind spending time and money to do so. The product just wasn't fit for them. It was fit for a solo business owner who wanted their weekends back.
