At my last job people hired our products to help them drive safely on the road at first i thought they came because they needed parts but In Hindsight it was because they wanted to enjoy riding safely on the raod in their vehicles

In my experience as a Relationship manager at the Bank, I realized that my clients were basically hiring my product to have excellent finanacial services

When buying a product or service, people want it to fully and efficiently perform the functions that are expected of them. For example, if a person buys a washing machine, then the washing machine should wash and wring out the laundry well and carefully.

My company sells low cost recruitment that hugely undercuts the market and we service some of the biggest and fastest growing companies who are present in APAC. We have an unique model where they pay up front and have set fees for a number of guaranteed hires.... 


We sell the service for them to use us for their high volume fresh roles in order to save bandwidth and focus on their own difficult roles. We might aim to make e.g. 5 placements a month and if we are behind that we thought we were failing.... 

 

In fact, we have found that they want a range of things from us: 

 

1. Some just give us their most difficult roles and that same client who we aimed to provide 5 hires a month is genuinely pleased if we do 3 roles a year because it was cheap and they couldn't do it themselves. That's a huge difference and we were massively surprised to find out they were pleased

2. Some clients use us as a cheap source of candidates to compare to their own talent before they promote internal candidates

3. Some clients use us to unlock candidates that they did not have access to  

 

There are multiple other Jobs Done criteria that we are used for... often ones we didn't predict. 

 

We have now started using a questionnaire to delve down into their "success factors" to understand what they would consider a successful relationship. We then use these criteria when we ask for renewals.

As consumers of electric power, when my customers  look at the reliability and costs (both internal and external) of their power, they want to reduce their reliance on utility-generated power so that they can gain control and predictability of the financial and environmental impacts.

B2B: Clients want our team to take some work off of their team so they can focus on strategic tasks and we move up the value chain by supporting and streamlining their workload and/or processes in the realm of anything, media, and tech-specific business operations.

B2B & B2C Omnichannel solutions. At first we were selling a contact center software, but soon realize that it could be used by just about anyone. We also discovery that we could use our tech to influence customers to purchase using passive follow up sequences via chat channels.

B2C: Our clients hire us to design and install a lighting/av/hvac/shade control system built around their lifestyle with white-glove service and support, and without having to invest the time to learn and stay up to date with the technology.

B2B: Our architect clients hire us to fulfill the above job for their clients knowing that we will handle everything and maintain an amazing relationship with their clients (aka not having their clients call them to complain about us).

B2B: Our home builder clients hire us to ensure that the B2C description above is fulfilled while also keeping up with their construction calendar and having our team communicate and work with their team in order to complete their project with the minimum amount of problems.

In my case (I work for a B2B translation company), will be to make easier the communication between groups of the same international companies who speak different languages and relief the misunderstanding.
