Hi everyone! I'm Nate. I have worked in business development for a year, after I completed my marketing degree. Prior to that I did technical sales, purchasing, and warehouse management for several years. My current company is in a tiny niche of the pharmaceutical industry. I am actually leaning toward a career in project management, and am exploring a potential CAPM certification. But in the meantime, I have started this course (and enrolled in this study group) to get better at my current role and to gain a better understanding of the sales process. Cheers! Nate

Hi I'm Anne! I have worked for my company for almost 5 years, I will be taking over our direct sales team in the coming weeks. We are in the tech industry. My tactic is to let your customers know the problem they are solving with the purchase of your product. While I have managed teams before I have not managed a sales team.

I’m interested in learning more about inbound sales strategies and how to close deals more effectively. One tactic I’ve found useful in the past is focusing on building strong rapport and trust with prospects before diving into the sales pitch.

Hello everyone! I am a senior sales and business management professional. I have not actively particpated in sales for many years now. Recently, I made a decision to pursue sales in some capacity again. My intention is to acquire a role that will allow me to operate remotely. Sales is an art. So many nuances do exist. To many to list really. As well, I am not one to give advice. However, if I where to share anything, it is the following three words. Three words that go far beyond "closing more deals". Words that have served me extremely well through the years, and they are PATIENCE - PERSISTENCE -CONSISTENCE (PPC). I trust this study group will aid in invigorating my journey and also provide some degree of additonal sales knowledge.

Greetings! Morgan here - Business Development Rep for a start-up/venture capital company. Focusing on building sales for one of the brands under our umbrella in the consumer tech realm. Currently on a path to move into sales management!
One tactic that has worked for me in closing deals is being authentic and eccentric. I've found that bringing humor and jokes into my sales pitches has helped more often than not.
I'm hoping to learn new tips and tricks you cool cats are all about and hopefully expand some skillsets of mine.

Hello I am currently a funding consultant in the government grants and contracts sector. One tactic I recommend to close more deals is know your targets. Who needs what you are selling and why, then convince them why they need it through lots of strong questions that subtlely steer the conversation where you want it to go. That way when its time to close the prospect should be closing the deal with you. If they are not, then you didnt ask enough, or the right questions. I am hoping to take knowledge from others here and apply it to my own processes.
