My name is Ricardo and I'm 24 years old. Luckily, for the past two and a half years, I had the opportunity to join the business world regarding technology/software industry.
I've always been in contact with the traditional selling behaviour when it comes to retail and hospitality. Throughout my little experience, I do understand that it was really important to experience all the steps of upselling, selling and dealing with people from all ages. It's not easy, but being resilient is one of the soft skills that we learn in life.
In software/technology and business/companies environment, there's other codes to follow and to adapt. I've realized that, naturally, this type of processes are long and they depend on decisions that are not easy to take or "get".
As I'm having the opportunity to join this group, full of talented people and knowledge, and I was wondering about personal techniques that each one of you have developed to become more efficient and successful in nowadays sales life cycle's! Especially with software!
Let me thank you in advance for any shared thoughts and stories!
Welcome! I would definitely recommend the lesson on frictionless sales in Hubspot. They go over, in detail, how customers want to buy in today's market, and the ideal position to be in. I found it especially helpful for software sales. Hope this helps. 🙂
I agree with this sentiment; one of my Pro clients is trying to attract students graduating from nursing schools... and they are keen on many of the activities that I've been able to get Millenials, Gen X, Y, Boomers to take to convert.
I'd love to read more about an updated buyer journey for these folks!
