Our favorite way to identify people who need our product is through conventions, summits, and our B2B e-commerce platform. Additionally, we actively engage with potential clients through social media using organic strategies, creating creative content that resonates with our target audience. During conventions and summits, we connect with attendees, participate in speaking engagements, and network with industry professionals to identify interested individuals and businesses. Our B2B e-commerce platform serves as an online presence, and through analytics, lead generation tactics, customer feedback, targeted marketing, and social media engagement, we effectively identify and engage with potential clients, nurturing these relationships to drive successful outcomes.

Identifying active buyers ranges from the interaction that prospects make with your website up to social media behaviour. As a sales professional, you need to be on the relevant social channels where your ideal customers are most active. You may then go ahead and join the relevant groups that they are part of and make a significant contribution to those discussions - helping to position you as a subject matter expert.

Social Media (LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram) are excellent choices to identfy active buyers by viewing discussions, comments, articles, posts, etc. However, depending on your sector, product or service offering this may vary slightly.  As an example, industry specific related events can also be great way to identify potential buyers who will likely be interested in your product or service whilst also providing great networking opportunities.

My favorite way to identify people who need our product is by leaning on our existing relationships. We target a specific industry and hundreds of potential prospects.  By leaning on our existing customers, we can bypass a lot of the discovery phase with warm introductions and a better chance of getting in front of the prospect. Also, other ways are to search LinkedIn by specific job titles in our industry and see what mutual contacts you may have.

My favorite way to identify people who are buying my product are by who I know and meeting people to make connections with. When you do that you already have a mutual trust from the buyer.

There are alot of ways to identify buyers, active buyers are likely to visit your website multiple times, indicating they are interested in your product or service,they  engage with your content, they might comment on your social media posts or share them with their networks.

Salespeople should keep in mind that the ideal approach for identifying potential customers will vary depending on the product or service being sold, as well as the target audience. It may be beneficial to use a variety of methods to create a strong sales pipeline. Personally, I find social media platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter to be effective in identifying potential customers who are engaging in discussions related to their product or industry.

Identifying active buyers can be done through various different methods. Checking  on Social Media if they are interating with groups and posts which discuss the problem we are solving for or solutions we provide. Secondly website visit as well as page intraction info if they have visited our website over a few weeks. Thirdly getting some marketing intelligence tools onboarded to get some keyword search intent data for the sales team to focus on. These are some ways in which an active buyer could be found out.

Each social media format has its own way of connecting with the audience. I check the competitions' pages to see what my target market are talking about, need & want. Do they engage more with photos (instagram), videos (tik tok), long blocks of text (blogs)? Which channel matters more to them & why? I don't particularly need to interact with them as much as figure out how they like to be marketed to and what garners a positive or negative response. Of course the bigger the group, the more potential leads.

On social media. People made a huge pivot from the traditional way of outreaching potential contractors and advertising themselves. It's much easier to interact with them in the comments section and DM.

Like many people my age (I'm 26) I LOVEEE social media. I've quickly become our teams "social sleuth", where I can go from finding someone's first and last name to immediately knowing where they went to school, what sports they played in high school... Obviously not all of that is worth it for a sales context, but if I can find a common ground? It doesn't get much better than that! One of my biggest clients connected with me and mentioned on linkedin that she likes yoga- we bonded over our shared love, and it turned into one of the biggest partnerships we've had!

On Instagram, I follow the pages of popular social media persons my prospect follows and I try to make meaningful comments when they post new content this helped a bit with visibility, I also follow people I feel are potential leads and comment on their pictures and posts.

Using Social Media, Landing page etc. wherever my Buyer is, I need to go. Using CRM tool, I can find more details about my buyer, whom they follow etc. This information can be used to connect them.
