Depending on your contact's industry and role, here are some tools (more closer to methods) I've found successful:

  • Standard email and call outreach (take your time to craft an excellent voicemail script)
  • LinkedIn connection/social DMs (don't go for the sales kill–the prospect probably isn't there yet)
  • Blog comments/community forums (good if your contact authors articles/blogs)
  • Direct mail (what you send should match your contact's lifecycle stage––for instance, sending a gift card to MQLs that gets activated if they complete a demo)
  • Tradeshows (start by researching if your contact's company will be there)
