I’m a sophomore student currently learning about marketing and sales, and I’ve been exploring HubSpot to get hands-on experience with how sales pipelines and CRM systems work. I want to understand how professionals use these tools to manage leads, track deals, and close sales efficiently. For those with experience, what’s the best way for a student like me to practice or simulate real sales workflows using HubSpot?
HubSpot helps your business keep track of clients and or customers who may want to buy something (a service or product etc.) It saves client info, like names, email address and what they’re interested in, so you remember who you’ve talked to. As they get closer to buying, you move them through steps like “Just Looking” to “Ready to Buy.” When they finally decide on buying, HubSpot marks the deal as won and shows what worked best. You can practice by creating fake contacts, adding deals for each one, moving them through stages like “New Lead,” “Contacted,” and “Meeting Scheduled,” and using email templates or reports to see how those deals did.
