Humans of HubSpot: Estee Hall
Hey Community,
This week we want to spotlight Estee Hall, you may know her as @EsteeH in the Community.
Estee shared how she started using HubSpot and what she does for work. Discover what she does in her free time and with whom she would like to have dinner.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a millennial from Cape Town, South Africa. I have a gorgeous husband and we recently adopted two Staffies a.k.a balls of energy! A published scientist, I prefer working with people and helping them make a success of their business through HubSpot. I was recently diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, a debilitating auto-immune disease. The diagnosis has formed me into an independent and ambitious professional and has made me into the manager I am today. I hope to set an example for others - showing them that a degenerative disease doesn't mean your life is over: you can still kick ass and feel great while doing it.
How did you start using HubSpot? Was it in your current role, or a different role?
I started my marketing career out at HubSpot partner, MPULL. There I learned the inbound game and my love for HubSpot blossomed. Since then I've spent time on both agency and client side, working with HubSpot wherever I go. Currently, I'm a HubSpot onboarding Specialist at Struto - giving me the opportunity to inspire others and spread my love of HubSpot to help businesses be successful the world over.
Tell us a little bit about your company and your position.
At Struto, I spend my days figuring out how to implement and configure the CRM for each unique business case or training marketing, sales and service teams in using the tools. I also lead the Professional Services team, allowing me to inspire other members of my team and help them grow.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I spend a lot of time with my dogs - both are rescues who need a lot of love and training. Other than that, I spend every waking minute out of work absorbing books - fiction or strategy - or whipping up deliciousness in our kitchen.
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world. (past or present), who would it be and why?
Nelson Mandela - as a South African I have first hand experience of what one man can mean for a nation. I'd love to spend time getting to know the man behind the legend and be inspired by a man who changed the course of our country.
Thank you for sharing a little bit about yourself with us @EsteeH! I admire your strength to overcome your diagnosis! You rock! 😎
