If you've been around in the HubSpot Community for a while, you must've noticed that there are a lot of new faces on the Community recently and the Community Team thought it might be fun to share a little bit about ourselves with our Community and let you ask us anything!😊
We're excited to launch this AMA to celebrate the Community's newest board, Humans of HubSpot. Starting next week we'll spotlight Community members from around our Community in an effort to share more about who we are beyond our avatars and bios. While we can't wait to hear from all of you, we thought it was only right to kick things off by letting you ask us anything.
The HubSpot Community launched in 2016 and has grown into a thriving community in 6 languages with over 9,000 accepted solutions and over 85,000 users. Our goal is to create a space for all HubSpot users to ask questions, find answers and connect with professionals from around the world growing better with HubSpot. To achieve this mission, there are currently 8 Community Managers and each have dedicated space to manage.
We'll be answering questions from Wednesday 21 October - Wednesday 3 November.
Not sure what to ask? Here are a few sample questions:
But first of all, let us introduce ourselves!
@jennysowyrda / Community Manager

Pam was born in Brazil and moved to Massachusetts in 2013, started at HubSpot in 2018 helping to launch the Portuguese Support.

Dennis was born and raised on a dairy farm in Kansas. After school he moved to Florida where, among other things, became a park ranger. Eventually, he moved to New York City because it was the opposite of a farm in Kansas. Now he lives outside of NYC and will inevitably become a farmer in Kansas...

Hey @thesnappingdog, I cannot speak for the entire team here, but I have been using Obsidian which has an interesting tag mapping feature. I am relatively new to the team so my map is pretty little, but it is growing.

Hi @thesnappingdog! Thanks for the question!
The short answer is, we do! We have a few ways of keeping track of great threads, including a tagging system, to ensure when there's a great response or helpful post it's not lost forever. I think we are all also pretty familiar with the content on the Community and more often than not when I see a question I know has been answered before I can find the post I'm looking for either by searching the author or title of the post. You can pretty much ask any of us "what's the best post about xyz" and I think we'd all be able to think of a post or two that stand out!

Hey @mritchie712 ! There is no official timing as of yet. We have a Breaking Changes that might help in terms of easing your worry about being caught off guard. As for the upsert ability, I wouldn't count that out in V3, yet 😉

Hello - I am relatively new to HubSpot and feel totally lost. My main reason for using it is to better organize my leads, know where they are in the slaes process, and automate some messaging. Where is the best place to start? Is there anyone who can help with onboarding?
Thank you - Matt

Thank you for reaching out, Welcome to HubSpot and to the Community! We're happy to help.
I think this website should help.
You will find in our Knowledge Base documentation on every tool within HubSpot. You can also find here a Get Started guide to help you get set up.
The Community is where you are right now, we have a lot of HubSpot users happy to answer your questions as well, for more information to get started on the Community this article will be a good resource, as well as this article on how to ask a great question. As a free user, the Community will also be where you can tell us if you're having a technical issue.
The Academy is another great resource for you. There are a lot of videos, lessons, and certifications there.
If you're looking for more in-depth onboarding you can contact one of our amazing partners in our directory here.
Finally, our professional services can be found here.
Hope that helps.
Have a lovely day,

Hello Community Managers! 👋
We are working with some Hubspot customers and their partners who want to integrate with Hubspot. We sometimes come across customer use cases, where they want some extra functionality Hubspot doesn't provide (and other CRMs do! 😓), and we were curious what's the best place to share these ideas to see if other customers have similiar needs? 🤔
As an example, we have been hearing a lot about Identity Verification . Universities 👩🎓 and Crowd Funding 💰 platforms have come up for example. Their process requires a 'customer' to verify their identity (using passport, or drivers licence for example), but because the documents are sensitive, they don't want to simply store them to a customer profile. They are looking for something that creates the verification but preserves privacy. Adding a simple workflow into the contact database would be a seemingly great place to provide this feature.💡
What's the best way to share this idea so we can learn if someone else needs something similar?
We could build this as a one-off integration I guess, but it might be better as a 3rd party application in the marketplace where others can use it. Before we think about doing that, probably better to get more input from others?
Any help much appreciated! 🙏
