Hi everyone!
If you've been around in the HubSpot Community for a while, you must've noticed that there are a lot of new faces on the Community recently and the Community Team thought it might be fun to share a little bit about ourselves with our Community and let you ask us anything!😊
We're excited to launch this AMA to celebrate the Community's newest board, Humans of HubSpot. Starting next week we'll spotlight Community members from around our Community in an effort to share more about who we are beyond our avatars and bios. While we can't wait to hear from all of you, we thought it was only right to kick things off by letting you ask us anything.
The HubSpot Community launched in 2016 and has grown into a thriving community in 6 languages with over 9,000 accepted solutions and over 85,000 users. Our goal is to create a space for all HubSpot users to ask questions, find answers and connect with professionals from around the world growing better with HubSpot. To achieve this mission, there are currently 8 Community Managers and each have dedicated space to manage.
We'll be answering questions from Wednesday 21 October - Wednesday 3 November.
Not sure what to ask? Here are a few sample questions:
- What do Community Managers do other than creating content on the Community?
- What does a typical day look like?
- What are the Community’s plans for 2021 and beyond?
- What are some tips for growing a Community?
But first of all, let us introduce ourselves!
------------------------------
@jennysowyrda / Community Manager
Home office: Cambridge, US 🇺🇸
Jenny is from Boston, MA and has lived in the area since childhood, including attending Boston College. She has been working for HubSpot since 2016 and joined the Community team as the first Community Manager in 2018.
Fun fact: I have visited 5 HubSpot offices and worked in our Portsmouth, NH office for my first year at HubSpot.
@sharonlicari / Spanish Community Manager
Home office: Dublin 🇮🇪
Sharon was born in Caracas-Venezuela and moved to Ireland in 2013. She joined HubSpot in 2017. She has a Bachelor in International Business and she has a diploma as a Chef in Patisserie.
Fun fact: I speak native Italian as I went to an Italian school back home and my family is from Italy! Also, I've worked in my family's patisserie for 5 years! So yes I know how to bake! 😍
@natsumimori / Japanese Community Manager
Home office: Singapore 🇸🇬
Natsumi was born and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. She moved to Singapore in 2018 when she joined HubSpot as a Customer Support Specialist.
Fun fact: I enjoy traveling and trying out the local foods. One of my most memorable travel experiences was when I went solo backpacking around South East Asia! 2 days of boat trip from Laos to Thailand (painful and long) was an experience!
@PamCotton / Portuguese Community Manager
Home office: Cambridge, US 🇺🇸
Pam was born in Brazil and moved to Massachusetts in 2013, started at HubSpot in 2018 helping to launch the Portuguese Support.
Fun fact: I started the role of a Community Manager on the same day as my 2 year anniversary working at HubSpot. Such a coincidence.
@dennisedson / Developer Forum Manager
Remote, US 🇺🇸
Dennis was born and raised on a dairy farm in Kansas. After school he moved to Florida where, among other things, became a park ranger. Eventually, he moved to New York City because it was the opposite of a farm in Kansas. Now he lives outside of NYC and will inevitably become a farmer in Kansas...
Fun fact: I had a "racing rooster" when I was a kid. It would chase my sister around. Also, I received a blue ribbon in 4-H for cross stitching
@TiphaineCuisset / French Community Manager
Home Office: Dublin 🇮🇪
Tiphaine grew up in Orléans, France. After secondary school she studied in multiple places around France & Europe, including Germany, Ireland and Portugal. She eventually moved back to Ireland in the beginning of 2019 to join HubSpot
Fun fact: I love watching movies & series. I have 5 siblings. I'm passionate about space. 🚀 and I can't wait to go see live music again!
@JoeMayall / Ideas Forum Manager
Home office: Cambridge, US 🇺🇸
Joe was born and raised in Massachusetts, and joined HubSpot in July 2018. After a year and a half in Customer Support, he moved to Product Marketing to support the Ideas Forum. Feel free to reach out to him to chat about the Ideas Forum (or Star Wars).
Fun fact: Outside of HubSpot, Joe works as a freelance writer.
