I love Nick Holland's posts on this topic, as they're extraordinarily tactical and use-case focused, and can be cross applied to nonprofit work. If you haven't followed him on LinkedIn, definitely do so!

I think one of my favorite ways to use AI tools in general is to help make smarter, faster decisions. With smarter data management (the boring part of what we do for many of us, and therefore a great use case for using generative AI!), we can sift through qualitative data better, set up stronger data collection, and supplement data with research.
HubSpot's AI can clean and enrich our contact and company records, automatically updating missing donor data and removing duplicates. This means our messaging reaches the right audience and improves our decision-making. Plus AI analyzes donor patterns to predict which contacts are most likely to donate again, churn, or upgrade their giving. This supports more effective stewardship and resource allocation with the predictive analysis.
And this leads to more advanced reporting & insights, making us the hero! While I'm not totally sold on AI-generated reports for everything (templates and simple custom reports go a long way), we can use AI to create custom reports on donor lifecycle stages, campaign ROI, or event participation. These insights help leadership and staff adjust strategies in real-time.
Finally, I love the idea of using AI to help with impact measurement. The HubSpot AI tools can help connect actions—such as campaign launches or stewardship touchpoints—to actual fundraising and engagement outcomes, making it easier to showcase impact to funders and boards.

I use all tools available to help answer questions. This may include other Community posts, search engines, and generative AI search tools. But I always use my experience and my own brain to make it human.
sorry - we're not a nonprofit. We Are having some success using AI to help us get past the "staring at a white page" first steps which often come with a new project, or helping us get more clear/concise when we have ideas we think we want to run with or brainstorming when we have too many "shiny nickels" we want to attack & only a 3 person team...

@TSiri that's a great use case for AI tools - and even if you're not with a nonprofit it's a prime example of mutual challenges and crossover on solutions. Thanks for sharing!
