I want to utilize the 14-day trial of the built-in HubSpot AI website generator to quickly draft a professional layout and content, saving time on development. But I am getting this!

Hi @Ihab-El-Mortada,

As part of your trial, you should have access to HubSpot support in-app via chat or email - via the question mark icon in the top menu. I'd recommend reaching out to HubSpot support about this directly, they can investigate directly in your portal.

Hi @Ihab-El-Mortada , this usually isn’t a “broken tool” issue but an access or eligibility one. The AI website generator is tied very tightly to specific CMS Hub trials and portal conditions, and in 2025 HubSpot has made this more strict than it used to be.

A few things commonly trigger the screen you’re seeing. First, the AI website generator is only available if your portal is correctly enrolled in a CMS Hub trial that includes website creation.

If the trial started from a different product or the CMS trial wasn’t fully provisioned, the UI still shows the entry point but blocks usage.

Second, the feature is only accessible to users with the right permissions. Even during trials, you need website and CMS edit access, not just general admin. Third, some portals hit regional or account-level flags where the AI site generator is temporarily disabled, especially on very new portals or ones created via certain partner flows.

That’s why Karsten’s advice is spot on. In-app support is really the fastest way here because they can see your portal flags immediately. From experience, this is usually resolved by HubSpot re-enabling the CMS trial feature on the backend or restarting the trial cleanly. It’s not something you can fix from settings alone.

When you contact support, tell them explicitly that you’re trying to use the AI website generator during a 14-day CMS trial and that the UI is blocking you. That usually gets routed to the right internal team faster.

Hope they get you unstuck quickly.

That’s annoying, yeah 😅 I’ve seen this happen before—usually it’s a trial eligibility or account setup issue on HubSpot’s side. Try checking billing info, account limits, or reaching out to HubSpot support directly.
