We are using Salesforce integration in HubSpot to connect both platforms.
For test purpouses, we set up a new HubSpot sandbox that needs to be connected to Salesforce sandbox too (not to the main one). Apparently having connected Salesforce production environment on main HubSpot account does not allow connecting a Salesforce sandbox account on the HubSpot sandbox.

1.Install the Salesforce Integration in the HubSpot Sandbox:

•Search for the Salesforce integration and click Install app.
•Select the option Yes, this will connect to a sandbox to indicate you’re integrating with a Salesforce sandbox.
•Click Log in to Salesforce and add your Salesforce sandbox credentials.
2.Install the HubSpot Integration Package in Salesforce Sandbox:
•Once logged in, you will be redirected to Salesforce to install the HubSpot integration package.
•Choose Install for All Users, then click Install.
•Check the box for Yes, grant access to these third-party web sites, and click Continue.
•The installation may take a few minutes. Salesforce will send you a confirmation email upon completion.
3.Configure Sync Settings:
•Return to the HubSpot sandbox and go to the Salesforce integration settings.
•Configure your sync preferences, such as which records to sync.
