Re: Which marketing metrics do you track and report on?

As marketers, we’re making important decisions on behalf of our company every day. We use our best judgment when making these decisions, and we also weave in data and metrics when we can. Which metrics do you currently use to track the performance of your marketing efforts? How often do you report on those metrics?

*To learn more about this, check out the Understanding Reporting in Marketing Hub lesson via HubSpot Academy.

We look at the basics - sessions, revenue, etc. - monthly.

But since we just launched a new site < a year ago, we're looking at traffic sources and organic behavior closely.

We're also building-out some content campaigns - ebook > email campaign > converstion CTA, so we're looking closely at conversion rates and opportunity for optimization.

The metrics that I've used more often are the number of clicks on a link or CTA in an email.

Attribution is a main focus right now and identifying behavior for leads that convert versus the leads that become customers.

We use GA and report through Google Data Studio. Page views, time on page, sessions, and a few others.

We report weekly, monthly, and quarterly. In Hubspot we report on email campaign success.

We use marketing email comparison metrics to see which emails are performing better in CTR.

Our primary KPI's and metrics are clicks, calls, and lead form submissions from our PPC campaigns.

Till date I have only used CRMS developed internally by the company. We used to make quarterly reports based on their data.

Thanks,

Soumya

For us is very important to get sales marketing qualified leads and sales qualified leads in order to bring them down in the funnel.

Opens, clicks, heat maps, pages per visit, repeat visits, etc. I usually create my own reports to dive deeper than HubSpot reports and make informed decisions about campaigns, trends, lists, timing, etc.

We focus on site traffic, specifically, bounces, page views, session timing, entrances, and exits.
