What social channels are you currently using?
As a social media marketer, it’s crucial you determine which platforms you’re going to share your content on. There’s not necessarily a right or wrong answer when it comes to which social channels your business should use — it’s more about the needs of your target audience and where they tend to spend their time. With that in mind, which social channels are you currently using and why?
As a B2B business, we don't find Instagram or TikTok to be relevant channels to reach our audience. We rely mainly on LinkedIn, and occasionally post somewhat more fun content on Facebook. Sadly, although Twitter used to be an excellent channel, we have suspended all activity on it due to changes in the platform in the past few months.
My organization has social media accounts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram, but the Facebook account is the only one that is active currently. I am taking this course to learn how to use HubSpot to manage and track all of them more efficiently.
Instagram: Instagram is a visual platform that allows businesses to showcase their products and services through images and videos. It's an effective platform for businesses in the fashion, beauty, food, and travel industries, as well as those targeting a younger demographic.
Facebook: Facebook is the largest social media platform, and it offers a variety of features for businesses, including Pages, Groups, and Ads. It's suitable for businesses of all sizes and industries, and it's an effective platform for building relationships with customers and engaging with them through content and ads.
TikTok: TikTok is a short-form video platform that has gained popularity among younger audiences. It's suitable for businesses that want to create engaging and entertaining content that showcases their products or services in a creative way.
Twitter: Twitter is a fast-paced platform that's ideal for businesses that want to share news and updates with their audience in real-time. It's suitable for businesses in the news, media, and entertainment industries, as well as those targeting a professional audience.
LinkedIn: LinkedIn is a professional networking platform that's suitable for B2B businesses and professionals. It's an effective platform for building thought leadership, networking, and generating leads through targeted ads and content.
It's important to note that each social media platform has its unique audience and features, and businesses should choose the platforms that align with their target audience and marketing goals.
We currently lean very heavy on LinkedIn for most of our social media engagement. That being said, we do also use Facebook and Twitter for cross promoting. We've also recently revamped our Instagram account and are looking into ways to have a voice on Reddit.
I use social media based on country and region. For example, some countries use more snapchat than Instagram. so before choosing the right social media. companies need to search what the target country or region is using most as a social media tool.
I work for an IT Consultancy that is primarily using LinkedIn, with much of our LI content reposted onto Facebook and Twitter. We have also started using Instagram and TikTok, although these are aimed at younger audiences to attract them towards our tech academy (age aim 18-26), whereas our LinkedIn content is for business leaders to see us as a thought leader in the tech space.
I work for a creative brand agency and our work in social media channels primarily uses Facebook and LinkedIn ads. We also use YouTube to reach our target audience and are expanding our presence on TikTok.
I've focused on Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram with the occasional post on Twitter and LinkedIn. But my offer has changed a lot so I'm making a switch. Focused on LinkedIn. Thinking about Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I will have to test those. Will eventually start Youtube. And I am also trying to be active on Alignable.
Linked In (Brand Position, Brand Awareness, Lead Gen and Employer Branding), Instagram (Employer Branding) and Youtube (Brand Position, thought leadership, Employer Branding).
TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram. When is HubSpot going to expand its efforts here? TikTok is dominating the social sphere, and HubSpot has little to offer.
