Well, the topic is too old, but yet I want to give my opinion here. Since you are new in SEO, therefore I will suggest you or any beginners to start from the basics. Also go through below questions:

  • You need to understand what SEO is.
  • Why we do SEO.
  • SEO is the process or technique.
  • Types of SEO.
  • Importance of SEO

And now come to your point, what should you do to rank in search engines.

I will suggest you to focus on the quality of content first. Writes who are writing your content should have good credibility on social platforms.

Apart from this when you will read about SEO, you will understand day by day.

Thanks

Optimizing meta tags and headings is a key practice. It's like providing signposts for search engines to navigate your content effectively. And of course, creating top-notch content that engages and informs your audience is paramount. But here's the kicker: don't underestimate the power of backlinks. Building relationships with other reputable sites can boost your credibility and authority in the eyes of search engines.Oh, and don't forget about SEO priority management and AI auditing. It's like having a GPS system and a co-pilot on your SEO journey. Recently, I stumbled upon https://rankrevival.com/, and their tools have been a game-changer for me in managing priorities and conducting AI audits.

Hi,

SEO is kind of like navigating a maze (i'm sure many of you could relate 😉 ). We have some best practices we apply here at elixir:

1. Do Keyword Research (tip include longtail keywords): check which keywords have a good volume but aren't that competitive

2. Update your metadescription with these keywords

3. Work in Topic Clusters: Google searches for quality content if the crawlers scan your content & they see you cover different aspects of the topic they well mark you as quality content, which results in higher ranking.

4. Optimisation! is key

5. Add images with correlated Alt Text, this way if people are looking for keywords on the images tab they also come to your content

6. Ranking is giving content on what people are looking for, by checking the search queries on google in regards to the topic you can see what people are actually looking for.

7. Give your own input on the topic

Hope this helps!

Hi everyone,
I invested in Hubspot Marketing Suite this year (2023) and to get the most of my Hubspot experience, I'm engaging across several topics and forums on Hubspot, and posting feedback and comments to help grow this community!

Saw this topic on SEO starting and would love to make a contribution. I've worked in the online industry for many years (many years!) and I'm an advocate for the digital landscape.  I'd like to share some feedback on this topic...

SEO or 'Search Engine Optimisation', is the way that you can cut through the noise that's out there and have your web site rank better and higher than others. There's no silver bullet but there's things you can do to help your situation. It's a nurturing process where you need to be posting similar content on a consistent basis so that search engines crawl your site and identify you / your business as an 'authority' and regular contributor to the topic you are posting about.

The golden rule for SEO content, or how search engines receive your content (I'm talking primarily about Google here) is that your content is:-

  1. VALID / RELEVANT
i.e. True & Correct. (Formatting, grammar & spelling also relevent here!)
  2. EDUCATIONAL
i.e. your content has an education benefit - Google is built on this!
  3. AUTHORITIVE
i.e. The content is coming from a reliable source / you are an authority in your content sector, community or business niche. (You become this through regular consistent posting, combined with 1 & 2 above).

That's what search engines are looking for. Hope this helps you. Happy to post again on this as the topic grows. kind regards to all, FW.
