Hi All! I'm Lara, and I work as a Digital Corporate Marketing Specialist in the banking industry. I've been in banking for 17 year, and worked in Marketing on and off for 10 years which is how long I've been at my current bank.
I don't know that I have any Marketing "SuperPowers" but I am (I think) good at what I do and only want to get better at it! I mostly work with Inbound (Email) Marketing, but I'm interested in SMS marketing and Social Media Marketing as well.
I'm currently reading Holistic Email Marketing by Kath Pay (just started it so I'll have to let you know how it goes!).

Hi, I'm Deb. I am from The United States (California).
What's your current role? I’m a retail sales representative, and honestly, I do a whole lot more than just sell. I connect with people, read between the lines, and help them find what they actually need—sometimes before they even know it.
What industry do you currently work in? Retail. It’s fast, it's personal, and it keeps you on your toes. Every day’s a mix of human behavior, problem-solving, and keeping things moving.
How long have you been with your current company? Over 30 years in the industry. I’ve seen trends come and go, watched customer expectations shift, and kept showing up through it all.
What do you consider your marketing superpowers? Reading people. I can sense what a customer’s looking for just by the way they walk in. I know how to build trust quick, tell the right story about a product, and make someone feel like they walked away with exactly what they needed. I sell without selling, if that makes sense.
What are you currently reading or learning about? Lately I’ve been diving into trends—really paying attention to what’s coming next. Faith Popcorn’s work on future forecasting has been speaking to me. I’m also always learning more about how people think, what drives buying decisions, and how culture influences behavior. I have been following her work since the early 90s.

Hello, my name is Mariatu, and I am the owner of Style By Moi. It is a hair-braiding business, and soon, I want to launch a booking app for all hairstylists, barbers and estheticians to use. I have been working as a hairstylist for 4 years, and just recently started to make the transition. I am really good at taking clear videos and teaching people how to braid via my YouTube page. I clearly demonstrate and articulate how to braid, making it easy for any and everyone. I am trying to re-brand and gain a higher number of customers, in addition to gaining more revenue. Therefore, customers who are willing to pay 5% more than what I currently charge. Therefore, I want to master the art of storytelling, emotionally connecting with people and getting more people interested in my and my brand.
