Marketing is about making connections — with your audience and with each other.

With that in mind, say hi and tell us a little bit about yourself.  Here's some questions you can use for inspiration:

  • What's your current role?
  • What industry do you currently work in?
  • How long have you been with your current company?
  • What do you consider your marketing superpowers?
  • What are you currently reading or learning about?

Nice to e-meet you @carolgiacon!

I've not heard of the Falconi method, so it looks like I've got some reading to do 🤓 Glad to hear you're loving HubSpot so far! What tools are you currently finding the most useful? What tools are you using the least often?

I also pulled a couple of case studies from HubSpot customers that are also in the financial service industry. Let me know what you think:

Nice to e-meet your @cclbakker! 👋

Workflows are the automation engine in HubSpot. They save you time and energy by taking care of repetitive tasks, such as sending emails, creating reminders for reps, updating CRM data, and more. They take the manual work off of your  plate, so more time can be dedicated to marketing, selling, and servicing your customers. The best part is that once they're turned on, they work 24/7 to make your job easier.

One of the best ways I've seen marketers use workflows (besides with email nurturing campaigns) is with permission pass campaignsA permission pass campaign is a one-time email campaign that requests any contacts who haven’t already used some form of double opt-in to confirm that they would still like to receive emails from you. Only the contacts who confirm their subscription status are then kept on your list.

Happy to help with hunting down other time saving tips if you're interested! Got a lot of thoughts on using workflows to clean and maintain a healthy contacts database!

Nice to e-meet you @mhh! SEO is such an exciting field.

My favorite SEO feature is the ability to integrate Google Search Console with HubSpot. That way, you can see insights from Google directly in your HubSpot SEO tool.

Did you know that Season 1 of Skill Up also covers some of the nitty gritty of SEO (to supplement what we cover in the cert)? You can check it out here!

Hi, I am Caitlin, Director of Communications & Digital Strategy at Cruise Planners, a home-based travel franchise. For nearly 8 years, I have been working on PR, MarComm and social media. Recently, I have taken a more active role in digital marketing and using the HubSpot CRM, which I am Loving!!! I really geek out seeing the metrics and how seamless it is to use the tool. During COVID, I have been presented a unique opporutniy to slod down, learn and re-focus, which is why I have a goal to earn this certifaciaton.

Nice to e-meet you @CGardner ! Fellow data nerd here 😂

COVID has certainly shaken things up. Glad you've been able to use this opportunity to learn and re-focus! What toolset has helped you the most as you've made the jump to a more active role on the digital marketings side. Any favorites?

I pulled some case studies on other HubSpot customers in the travel industry and how they've found success in the tool. I'd love to know what you think / if any of these relate to your experience!

Nice to e-meet you @Letty ! Excited to have you with us!

What has been the most helpful part of the certification for you so far? What did you wish you knew more about?

An additional piece of content that may be helpful for you is the new Trends and Data for Sales and Marketing Report It contains data from 3,400 marketers and over 500 global sales leaders, with a specific focus on Canada. I'd love to know what you think!

Thanks for this report, Munroe! I will check it out.

I am quite enjoying the certification - I like learning about the CRM and landing page part the most. It's well explained.

Hi everyone! I'm Juanita, Inbound Professor (Spanish) at HubSpot. I joined the HubSpot Academy team in September 2019 where I'm focused on creating content for our Latam and Iberia audiences. I'd say my marketing superpower is listening to people carefully and putting myself in their shoes so I can understand what they need and how I can help.

Laste year, I created the HubSpot Marketing Software Certification in Spanish, so I'm eager to connect, discuss further, or answer any questions you might have 😀

Hi, my name is Nozomi Umenai, I currently work as an Inbound Professor (Japanese) at HubSpot in Tokyo.  I joined HubSpot last October and has been such an exciting journey! Since I have a PR background in Japan, my marketing super power is identifying the most accurate communication strategies to “translate” technical subjects to the Japanese audience. I love learning about what "marketing" means in different countries and am currently learning about inbound marketing & inbound sales. Nice to e-meet you!

Hey Nozomi,

That sounds so interesting! I'm a Head of Digital for an agency and very keen to understand the Japanese market as recently did a programme with JPN market and found the differences to be quite vast from EMEA and USA regions.
