How often do you clean your contacts database?

The fallout from that bad data extends to every corner of your business that the data touches. With that in mind, how often do you currently audit and clean your contacts database? Once a month? I am trying now to create a regular cadence with my company, but at this time, there is no standard. My plan is to do it once quarterly.

We clean up our database on continuing bases. We have specific criteria in place and timetables. This gives us an opportunity to create a list and review as new contacts come in and as deals are moved from stage to stage. So we try to be proactive with our database as well as real-time and reactive for those less engaged.
