How often do you clean your contacts database?
We’re in a data-driven era, where datasets are shared between marketing, sales, and customer service teams to increase organizational effectiveness and facilitate alignment. When you have high levels of inconsistent data, it’s not just one team taking the hit. It’s everyone. The entire company. The fallout from that bad data extends to every corner of your business that the data touches. With that in mind, how often do you currently audit and clean your contacts database? Once a month? Every quarter? Once a year? What does the process look like? Share your thoughts and current schedule.
I believe that data should be cleaned once every quarter as this can help you attract, engage, and delight the contacts that are right for your business and not waste time with those that might not be the best fit.
If i have the automation flow function then i can make flow with unwanted keywords and it will help to clear instantly, otherwise i can make it once in a week to clean manually
Since we are just building our marketing contacts database, our # of marketing contacts is small, so we clean up our database once/quarter - 2x a year.
Great question. I think it depends on how many contacts are being generated for your business. If you have the right segmentation in place and have a point person, I would go from either once a month to once a quarter to keep things fresh and stay under certain thresholds you want to keep:)
