How do you keep your campaign assets organized?
Marketing campaigns are organized, strategized efforts to promote a specific company goal, such as raising awareness of a new product or capturing customer feedback. They typically aim to reach consumers in a variety of ways and involve a combination of media, including but not limited to email, print advertising, television or radio advertising, pay-per-click, and social media.
But with so many moving pieces, it can be difficult to stay organized and ensure every piece of content feels cohesive with the rest. What is your advice to marketers creating their first campaign? What are your tips to stay organized and ensure you’re on track to hitting your campaign goals?
Start slow and see what works in your most realiable media first. Then replicate in others. Track everything in one place. I've used Asana, Infusionsoft...and now Hubspot. 🙂
That's a good reminder. I've been involved with a project that was too ambitious as the very first campaign, and it was alarming to watch the wheels come off. People were forced out over it, and others were left behind to try to salvage the scraps. Brutal.
We curently use Trello with the calendar function to manage tasks (asset creation for a campaign) and will typically have a kickoff meeting to go over strategy, dates, and goals of campaign.
We use Clockify to track times among colleagues on campaign projects. Google Calendars also can help establish hard deadlines. Hopefully we can get into using HubSpot's marketing calendar eventually, too.
We use Teamwork to create tasks and subtasks as well as using ht eHubSpot tools like Tasks, workflows to assign elements of the campaign actions to specific team members. This helps with schedualing the workflow, delegating the activities and accountability to ensure someone is responsible and the campaigns are being executed, measured and completed on time in full with KPI reflection to learn and improve or modify the campaign.
We currently use a project management software called Monday.com to keep all campaigns and projects in a strategic view as well as deadlines. I'm looking forward to branching into the Hubspot Marketing Calendar and also potentially switching to Wrike - what are your thoughts for those that have used Wrike?
