On a past thread, we discussed some of the ways that workflows can trigger your team internally. You can use them to automate data clean up or to trigger notifications to your sales team.
Now, let’s discuss ways you can use workflows to engage your leads and customers.
For example, one of my all-time favorite ways to use workflows is to re-engage leads that have abandoned their shopping cart.
The concept here is simple: When someone adds an item to their online shopping cart but leaves your site without completing the purchase, you can trigger an email workflow that reminds them of their forgotten purchase and motivates them to Live the transaction by offering a special discount code or some other incentive to buy.
That’s my favorite use workflows! How are you currently using yours? Sound off in the comments below.
We're going to use a workflow to engage leads that have downloaded a product but not yet installed it to ensure they have the support they need and move them along the funnel.
It was always helpful for me to use workflows when people check a specific geographic location. We could gather lead generation for our client to gather more people to their community welcome center.
While my abandoned shopping cart automated emails are used sometimes, they can be a bit much and pushy (multiple times a day). To keep the customer, limit to once every few days, or run the risk of unsubscribing.
Once the purchase is done. Send a how to use email. Give instructions of the product shows wonderful results after using it for 4 weeks by just following simple steps using content. Keeps users engaged even after buying the products.
I'm just learning how to use workflows and doing some Hubspot academy tutorials, but it's not very thorough. Any advice for where I can go to become more comfortable/proficient at it?
I agree with others. First impressions are everything so your onboarding workflow enables you to both learn about your client and to give them a big long hug.
I do not currently use workflows in my position at work, but I like all of these examples. Workflow is a great tool. I love the example above about reminding leads they left items in their shopping cart; I know that one has gotten me a couple times 😉 so it definitely works!
You can create all the workflows you want as far as you have the data to trigger them. Up-seel and cross-sell flows, birthday, welcome, psot-sale flows are just a quick example of flows that can be relevant for your business.
We have tons of workflows, but if I had to choose one I would say the ONBOARDING one. It guides our users from their first day on our platform, providing them useful information based on their actions/ lack of actions.
my favorite way to use workflows is for lead routing assignments to SDRs & AEs in Hubspot. We are able to automate tasks, reminders, and all of the follow up and that is great.
