On a past thread, we discussed some of the ways that workflows can trigger your team internally. You can use them to automate data clean up or to trigger notifications to your sales team.
Now, let’s discuss ways you can use workflows to engage your leads and customers.
For example, one of my all-time favorite ways to use workflows is to re-engage leads that have abandoned their shopping cart.
The concept here is simple: When someone adds an item to their online shopping cart but leaves your site without completing the purchase, you can trigger an email workflow that reminds them of their forgotten purchase and motivates them to Live the transaction by offering a special discount code or some other incentive to buy.
That’s my favorite use workflows! How are you currently using yours? Sound off in the comments below.
Reminders come really handy when there are a tsunami of tasks to do and with an automation rule you can get a push towards clearing the tasks with the highest priority.
We use workflows for when a customer submits information, and have specific messages sent back to them accordingly in order to progress forward to the closing steps.
Though workflows seem to be overwhelming initially to get hang of. Once understood and used strategically can go a long way to automate regular and repetitive tasks, so that we can focus on our core job.
I like using workflows to better manage our sales process. This can include auto-generating targeted emails to leads, forwarding leads to sales people who are in the decision stage, or generating tickets for service people to follow up on. As someone mentions earlier, there is quite a bit of initial setup - but it more than makes up for it when the organization is responding in a timely and targeted manner to its leads.
I have triggered emails using the workflows, but what I think would be interesting to explore is the ability to assign task to employees, and notify them of the task that needs to be complete. I haven't thought about using it for efficiencies in operations.
I'm looking to use workflows as a way of mapping newsletter sign-ups to our persona's based on content they have engaged with and then nurture them towards a sale. Never done this before, and I have no idea how i'm going to achieve it but it feels right. So if anyone in the community has done it before and has any advice, I would really appreicate it 😊.
I have a love-hate relationship with workflows. It's a powerful tool--it gets a lot of things done easily, especially with marketing emails/activities. But it's also complex if you misuse a command or action. That's why I always contact support to have them checked.
I'm just learning how to use workflows and doing some Hubspot academy tutorials, but it's not very thorough. Any advice for where I can go to become more comfortable/proficient at it?
While the use of workflows to nurture the leads was to me an obvious application, I found it really interesting that this tool can be used to automate the internal communications, such as reminders sent to reps to follow up etc.
