Marketing is about making connections — with your audience and with each other.

With that in mind, say hi and tell us a little bit about yourself.  Here's some questions you can use for inspiration:

  • What's your current role?
  • What industry do you currently work in?
  • How long have you been with your current company?
  • What do you consider your marketing superpowers?
  • What are you currently reading or learning about?

Hello Everyone,

I work as Director of Development and Marketing for an Abbey and School in Ireland. I also consult with other non-profits to develop their major-gift fundraising capabilities and help them design campaigns and communication strategies.

My work is predominantly in the not-for-profit sectors and more specifically in education, healthcare, and human services.

I have worked with the Abbey and Shcool for the last four years, and in the fundraising sector for the last 9 years.

Superpower 🙂 I suppose is the ability to distil complex organisational strategies into simple to understand needs, so people understand how they can engage and help.

Currently delving into SEO, Content, and paid digital advertising.

Looking forward to learning from you guys!! James

Hi everyone! Marty Williams from Vanguard Group Ltd here, New Zealand based.
I am Vanguard's Marketing Coordinator.
We provide vehicle and pedestrian safety solutions to businesses around the country.
I have been with the team since November 2020.
At 27 and still relatively new to the company, I bring a fresh perspective to the team, offering new ideas based on contemporary changes in the industry.
We're making big changes in the company at the moment, integrating our systems, with HubSpot intended to be the centre of it all. We're also on our way to building a new website and creating more streams for contact attraction and conversion. It's been fascinating researching new methods of presenting our material to the country and creating new/nurturing existing contacts with the channels available to us.

I look forward to reading about the approaches everyone is taking to drive their marketing efforts! forward to reading about the approaches everyone is taking to drive their marketing efforts!

Hi @KFrancis 👋👋👋 Welcome welcome welcome!

I like to think that ½ of marketing is building relationships, but the other ½ is maintaining them. That's what really sets inbound marketing apart for me. More than just selling products, we're thinking people-first and trying to create value in every interaction. I'm excited to help you uncover your super power! After learning about inbound, reporting, and the marketing software, you probably have more than one!

Thank you @JorieMunroe for your support and encouragment! I have completed the Inbound certification and finished the exam for Reporting. I am now working on the Contextual marketing exam. I have noticed that I have been using the flywheel through most of my career it was like a carpanteer using a tool just not knowing it was a "hammer" the whole time. Knowing what it is brings more insight to all its capabilities.

Hey there @MTalha👋👋👋 Welcome!

SEO is one of my favorite topics. Have you checked out Season 1 of Skill Up? It includes 7 hour-long episodes where I interview one of HubSpot's experts, Matthew Howells-Barby on the topic! I'd love to know what you think!

I think it's so important that today's modern marketer always be learning. It's an industry that moves and evolves quickly. In order to continue to solve for our customers, we need to remain open to new ideas, trends, and more! HubSpot has some great free social media resources, if you're interested!

Hi @EmaRuiz👋👋👋 Glad to have you here!

Automation + CRMs make the marketing world spin 'round. Where would we be without workflows, amirite? @AnniKim recently wrote a piece that covers how workflows can help at all areas of your flywheel and business and I totally agree. Additionally, we recently collaborated on a worksheet (here) that talks about some of the best ways to use workflows to clean up some of your internal data. Let us know what you think!

Hi,

My name is Rachel Vansickle and my current role as a Community Engagement Specialist for federally recognized tribal members;

I work within a sovereign nation for a Tribal Government;

I have been a member of this tribe since the early 1990s and I have been an employee since September of 2020;

I'd like to think that my marketing superpowers are helping others get their needs met and that means not always applying typical solutions. With organization and research, I would like to think that I can assist in most customer inquiries. I like to see others succeed and feel supported.

I am currently reading a best seller by Tana French that has recently become a show on the STARZ movie channel, it is called "In the Woods". Along with work and full home life, I am a full-time paralegal student.

Hi!

My name is Alayna and I'm based in Canada working as the Marketing Manager for an Australian SaaS company.  I have worked in the SaaS industry for the last two and a half years, but only recently joined Locafy last week. My role is to build the marketing from almost the ground up focusing on inbound lead generation and content creation. That leads to my marketing superpower. I'm a content creator at heart with a passion for writing and creating content that entertains and informs. I have dipped my toes into graphic design, video creation, podcast development, and photography all in an effort to support the written content being produced.

I have completed the Inbound Marketing course and am moving through the HubSpot Marketing Software course. My goal is to go through all of the certifications in the first quarter of my role. I have a limited experience using HubSpot so I'm here for all the tips and tricks!

Looking forward to connecting!

Hello @BrookeDevine! Tieing humor into content definitely helps make it more human. No one likes to read content that feels like a robot created it.

Looking forward to some jokes from you in the future.

Hi I'm Allison and I set up a digital data and design agency which focuses on Customer understanding and insight, to create greater emotional connections, through the enablement of tech and data. So we have become Hubspot partners and we work with Retail, Tech, Financial Services & Lifestyle Brands. Branue our business has been going for almost 4 years, after I started out consulting. I branched out the business about 16 months ago and we are off to a flying start. We have an amazing blend of content marketers, automation whizzes and data analysts to scientists so we continuously love to try new things for our clients.  I am reading about exponential organisations, algorithms to machine learning and my view on ethics in an immersive society.

Great to meet you @AlisonAlexander. I especially appreciate this line from your intro—"Customer understanding and insight, to create greater emotional connections, through the enablement of tech and data." Intention like this is what creates (and grows) an engaged audience.

Looking forward to connecting with you in the future!
