Marketing is about making connections — with your audience and with each other.

With that in mind, say hi and tell us a little bit about yourself.  Here's some questions you can use for inspiration:

  • What's your current role?
  • What industry do you currently work in?
  • How long have you been with your current company?
  • What do you consider your marketing superpowers?
  • What are you currently reading or learning about?

Hey there!

My name is Amanda, I'm based in Brazil and I currently work as Marketing Manager for an Open Banking API platform that targets the Latin American market. I'm responsible for our Communication and Marketing efforts in Brazil, from PR to demand generation. My superpower is being able to communicate any complex message in a simple, easy to understand way.

I'm a Hubspot enthusiast, have worked with it previously in my former job, and I'm always seeking to learn more about its fantastic capabilities and how they can help with my OKRs. Love the friendly interface and quick support, the team rocks!

Cheers,
Amanda

Hi @AmandaPofahl👋  Glad to have you here!

Big fan of setting and hitting OKRs! It's my favorite goal setting framework! I learned the framework from @Julien (who runs the Crediential program on the Academy team) and never turned back. Smart goal, who?

Excited to share more about what HubSpot has to offer!

Hello Everyone!

My name is April and I'm a Digital Content Producer for a marketing agency in Michigan. I just started this role this week after having spent years as a digital journalist. My marketing superpower is two-fold, at least in my opinion, I think I'm really good at making connections and telling the most important story -- the one that will generate leads. I'm currently reading several books, including "A Promised Land" by Barack Obama, "The Prophets" by Robert Jones Jr., and when I need something light and fun, "Act Your Age, Eve Brown" by Talia Hibbert.

Hi @AprilStevens! Welcome welcome! 👋

One of my favorite adages is: "Today’s consumer doesn’t decide to buy based on what you’re selling, but rather why you’re selling it." In my mind, that's what makes storytelling such a powerful skill. It helps us reach our audiences in a helpful and human way and build meaningful connections. Looking forward to chatting more about this with you in the future!

Thank you for the warm welcome Jorie! I agree wholeheartedly with that adage. The mystery of "why" and the power that a good story can weild is part of why I love writing, journalism, and have come to learn the benefits of marketing said story. This is a journey and I'm excited to be on it!

Hey everyone! Very exciting to hear from other HubSpot enthusiasts in this space! 😄

I'm currently a Senior Community Manager on the HubSpot Community team. I've been on the Community team for over 3 years and at HubSpot for 4 years. I think my superpower is creating a strong team environment! Best results are only accomplished with the help of a team, and taking the time to create a strong team is never a waste of time! Look forward to learning from others through this group!

Hi Everyone! Below is a little bit about me:

  • What's your current role? Principal Growth Product Manager, Community
  • What industry do you currently work in? Software (but really I'm in the industry of helping millions of businesses—like yours—grow better). It may sound cheesy, but it's true.
  • How long have you been with your current company? Close to 7 years. Time flies when you're having fun.
  • What do you consider your marketing superpowers? Planning and repurposing. Those two together pack a real punch. 🙂
  • What are you currently reading or learning about? Product strategy #alwaysbelearning

Looking forward to meeting and engaging with you all!

Nice to e-meet you @carolgiacon!

I've not heard of the Falconi method, so it looks like I've got some reading to do 🤓 Glad to hear you're loving HubSpot so far! What tools are you currently finding the most useful? What tools are you using the least often?

I also pulled a couple of case studies from HubSpot customers that are also in the financial service industry. Let me know what you think:

Nice to e-meet your @cclbakker! 👋

Workflows are the automation engine in HubSpot. They save you time and energy by taking care of repetitive tasks, such as sending emails, creating reminders for reps, updating CRM data, and more. They take the manual work off of your  plate, so more time can be dedicated to marketing, selling, and servicing your customers. The best part is that once they're turned on, they work 24/7 to make your job easier.

One of the best ways I've seen marketers use workflows (besides with email nurturing campaigns) is with permission pass campaignsA permission pass campaign is a one-time email campaign that requests any contacts who haven’t already used some form of double opt-in to confirm that they would still like to receive emails from you. Only the contacts who confirm their subscription status are then kept on your list.

Happy to help with hunting down other time saving tips if you're interested! Got a lot of thoughts on using workflows to clean and maintain a healthy contacts database!

Nice to e-meet you @mhh! SEO is such an exciting field.

My favorite SEO feature is the ability to integrate Google Search Console with HubSpot. That way, you can see insights from Google directly in your HubSpot SEO tool.

Did you know that Season 1 of Skill Up also covers some of the nitty gritty of SEO (to supplement what we cover in the cert)? You can check it out here!

Hi, I am Caitlin, Director of Communications & Digital Strategy at Cruise Planners, a home-based travel franchise. For nearly 8 years, I have been working on PR, MarComm and social media. Recently, I have taken a more active role in digital marketing and using the HubSpot CRM, which I am Loving!!! I really geek out seeing the metrics and how seamless it is to use the tool. During COVID, I have been presented a unique opporutniy to slod down, learn and re-focus, which is why I have a goal to earn this certifaciaton.

Nice to e-meet you @CGardner ! Fellow data nerd here 😂

COVID has certainly shaken things up. Glad you've been able to use this opportunity to learn and re-focus! What toolset has helped you the most as you've made the jump to a more active role on the digital marketings side. Any favorites?

I pulled some case studies on other HubSpot customers in the travel industry and how they've found success in the tool. I'd love to know what you think / if any of these relate to your experience!
