skipped lifecycle stages

I am trying to create a report that shows the number of contacts that, since Dec1, have reached a certain stage 3+ in their lifecycle while skipping a prior lifecycle stage. For example someone who was on stage 1 and move to stage 3 directly without reaching stage 2 before. It looks like this logic does not exist at the moment.

That's not possible at the moment. However, there is a possibility via workflows as described here in the community Solved: HubSpot Community - How do you handle skipped Lifecycle stages? - HubSpot Community. That was very helpful for me.
