Absolutely needs to happen! I know how much email our sales representatives receive, and I've caught email responses over the years that may have been missed sales opportunties if the one-to-one emails weren't logged. ALL emails and responses should be logged to the accounts regardless of how they're being sent. Not to mention issues where an employee is no longer with the company, and the responses to marketing emails are only logged in their linked email box. Much easier to look over the accounts than it is to sift through someone's emails.
Recently a change has been made that prevents prior email text from appearing in sales emails. For example, when "reply" is hit, the email text is blank, i.e. no previous email conversation is viewable.
This is VERY inconvenient as the only way to know what was communicated previously is to keep two window open (one with the prior view).
Why would you reduce the functionality without at least proviing options?
