Hey y'all, I hope all is well. I recently learned that HubSpot is supressing email sends to contacts who have bounced in another clients instance (even though we have no recroded "hard bounce" in our system)- wow!
I thought this was super "neato-burritto" and was very impressed with the community of data-hygine that HubSpot is cultivating with this feature. 👏
I made our list of "global bounced" contacts and added this surpression on our database- we don't need these folks to be "marketing contacts" and even on lists for 1:1 outreach, because why waste our reps time contacting an invalid email address- our reps loved this and life was good. (if anyone is not aware of this feature: Thanks support! https://www.loom.com/share/13437df363774293a6baa818d1a490fe)
UNTIL...I noticed this was a static list and not updating with new "global bounce" contacts like an active list would.
I reached out to support because I must have done something wrong, but alas- we simply cannot make an active list at this time.
This is no longer a super cool feature- now this is a chore to complete every week (pulling a new list and adding to supressions)- ok but it's still a cool feature, but...
Submitting this idea: can we make our Global Bounce list active? Not static.
Agreed, we have a huge amount of contacts in CRM and have just discovered around 40k of contacts that have globally bounced but do not show up in any active bounce lists we have.
This would be a great feature as we can filter against the global list, when people take a trial account of our video learning platform uQualio. As it is now we can validate a couple of things including spam domains etc, but an active global bounce list would ensure we have fewer free trials that we cannot reach out to. Otherwise they are lost if they log out of the acccount.
Agreed! Having an active list that populates hard bounced contacts *excluding* those who've been unbounced would be great for list exclusions on emails.
Good point @BNordwick. We have asked the same questions for some time now as you can see here.
And on a day where we have received the new pricing and seen a 50% increase according to the new model, then the cold syrup speed we see in all areas of HubSpot does make it clearer and clearer that we are not here in 8 months time.
