predictive text for form field properties

I work for an education provider and on our form, we have a property called 'university' in which are intending to list hundreds of university options within the drop down. Ideally, an applicant will be able to start typing in their selection, rather than scrolling through 100s of options. For example, a University of California, Berkeley student could start typing in "Berke..." and UC Berkeley would be recommended for selection.

Any predictive text searching in the cards for hubspot properties on forms?

Depending on how many universities you have in your list, you could setup a form which has logical steps. For example:

Q: Which country did you go to university? > Display dropdown of universities from that country from property {Universities in USA}. You could do this at a deeper level such as State, Region, or City.

Finally, you could also just add a free-text value there and let people add the value themselves, then create a workflow to change the property value. e.g. {Contact} completes X form, types value "Harvard" > Update Property Value to {Harvard University}.

You can improve the filters over time and add more values.

I agree though that some form of predictive text would be beneficial but the above might help as an interim solution.

Another option might be to check out HubSpot's integration with TypeForm to see if that solves this for you.

This "filter on typing" is also needed for multi-select fields. To be able to start typing, select a value, and then start typing again and select another value, and it shows the currently selected values. We have multi-select fields with lots of values, currently there's no other option but to show all the values on a form, as there are no other multi-select UI options.
