I have noticed that on any contact, whether they have given their consent to receive marketing information or not, it's possible to send an OPT-IN email. *Click on any Contact> Actions> Send opt-in email When I tried to edit this opt-in email to view it, I could not find it anywhere, so I asked your team. They told me that to edit it, you need to go into: Settings> (Tools section) Marketing> Email> and go to Double opt-in. Note it clearly says opt-in in one place (contact), and double opt-in on the other (settings). I asked yout team: is it possible to send this to ANY CONTACT, had they already started the opt-in process, or can you send it to any ramdom person, who has only just requested a product from you? There's a legal difference between a double opt-in (marketing communications email confirmation process) or opt-in (invitation to join marketing communications). Hubspot should not allow users to send a marketing confirmation email, to someone who is not waiting for a marketing confirmation email. In my opinion this is being, either wrongly used inside the contact tab or, wrongly set up at the settings tab, because, to my understanding these are two very different concepts. Can anyone confirm this?
