Hello, We have an issue where numerous emails are associated to a single contact record in HubSpot in the default, out-of-the-box email field. I would like assistance with how to clean up the data so that we can parse out these emails tied to one contact and create single contacts from them, all with single email addresses in that one default email field. After speaking with HubSpot support, they helped with identifying the issue and provided the following: Thanks for the examples shared! This first contact has had their Email updated and additional ones added by two different sources, the first one is a non-hubspot form, this one , and it is due to the following "When using non-HubSpot forms, all submissions associated with the same cookie will be added to the same contact record. For example, if a visitor submits a specific form multiple times with the same device and browser, all submissions will be attributed to a single contact, even if each submission uses a different email address." this results in new emails added to the contact if the same cookie is detected, meaning the submissions are done from the same device. Because these behaviors are due to external factors, HubSpot cannot prevent them. Alternatively, you can consider working with a developer to connect your non-HubSpot forms directly using HubSpot's Submit data to a form API or an existing form integration. At this time, I have a ticket in with my web developers to help prevent this issue. As far as cleaning up the issue, I was told to post the idea here in this forum and the following: Currently, we don't have a direct way to identify these records, we can try creating a contact list and using contact property "Secondary email is known" but this would include also those contacts that only have 1 secondary email, thus I'd suggest exporting this list and in the export file filter for those that have more than 1 value so you can come back to Hubspot to update them. Any HubSpot product updates to help prevent and clean up this issue would be appreciated, as I have quite the mess on my hands that I've inherited as the new HubSpot admin for my org.
