This may be useful reference.   Our business operates and manages three brands, that each have 1 Twitter account and 1 Linkedin Page.    When looking at the Hubspot Social Media analytics, it seems we like can filter by Account Type, i.e. Twitter vs Linkedin, and then the individual accounts. I don't think we can filter by individual accounts, to do 1 Twitter and 1 Linkedin account.    I would like to suggest that HS built in a way that we can report on different combinations of social media accounts rather than just Account Type. I was inputting information into an entry field in a prospect's contact page while I was on a call with them. I then clicked off the entry field to the "un-collapse" icon to another area on the same page, still in the same contact, to alter another entry field. I did not click the "save" function before doing so and saw that when I went back to the initial entry field, all my previous input data had been lost. This was pretty frustrating.   I get that I should have clicked "save" and it would've kept all my previously entered data, but it seems like it would be pretty bad product design to allow for data to be erased while a user is literally still on the same contact page and simply clicked on a different field.   I think that if I'm using the product, failing to click "save" at the right time should not cause me to lose all of the previously input data. Not to mention the fact that it shouldn't be seemingly so easy for this to happen (even that I'm now aware of this issue, I'm nearly certain that this will happen again considering how easily it happened the first two times). An update should either capture the input data via an auto-save function or it should not allow for the user to navigate to area on the page that would cause the data to be erased without some kind of forced-action prompt pop-up. This isn't MS Word for Windows 3.1. Users shouldn't have to remind themselves to manually save something every 2 mins or risk losing all their previously input data by simply clicking somewhere else on a contact page.   I'm happy to demonstrate this to a product person if necessary. Currently HS runs a duplicate check only every two weeks for each portal. Especially with large quantities of imports it would be easier to run a check manually and use the merge function rather than exporting to a spreadsheet every time to check duplicates. ...read more

Need a better way to organize emails in the activity feed.   The ability to "tag" emails so if you need to look back at previous emails it's faster than just going through the search functionality. You can simply look for all emails tagged as "billing" if a client requests an invoice you sent 6 months ago, for example. ...read more

I just want to make sure we can easily backup all the playbooks published on our HubSpot account. It's really easy to edit everything directly on HubSpot and then I always forget to update the original file!   Also I have a fear of deleting a playbook or update something and unable to find the previous version...   So in summary, backup and restore function would be AMAZING. HubSpot is set up to associate a company record to the contact and/or deal record. One contact can have many deals. However, is anything in the works to associate deals to deals? Example - we really don't use company records much. If we're aiming to sign a label, the label target becomes the deal name. Then our sales reps will work the deal through the sales funnel. If this deal (label) then provides us mini-deals, I would like to create one over-arching deal record with the deal amount a combination of all amounts. From this label, we sign 5 artists. I would like to set up the deal record to show the associated artists tied to this deal as their own deals linked back to the top level parent deal. This same concept exists on the company record, but unfortunately company records do not show on a deal board and our use case doesn't really call for much from the company record. Just wondering if anyone had any feedback/thoughts here? Would be great to show an "Associated Deals" section or something to tie in the other deals associated to this deal/opportunity.   ...read more

Currently, there is not a way to enroll someone in a workflow and have any immediate action, then follow it up with a date-centered action. It has to be two separate workflows.   Here is my case example:   We have a webinar series that starts on April 1st and occurs weekly for 3 weeks. People can start purchasing at any time since there are limited spots available to attend. We want to send someone a confirmation email immediately after their purchase, then send them a reminder email 1 day before each webinar.    Ideally, we could set up a workflow where the enrollment criteria is that the purchase occurred, send an email immediately, then delay until the day before a webinar, send the confirmation email, delay 7 days later, send email, etc.   Instead, we have to create one workflow for immediate action and a separate one for date-centered actions. However, we have 20 different webinars occurring on separate dates and 20 workflows seems a lot more reasonable than 40.   Hoping Hubspot can take this suggestion into their next workflow development project. See this thread: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Sales-Email/Placeholders-not-working-in-Templates/m-p/322497   As stated in that thread, when using a Custom Placeholders in templates, it works as intended with Sequences.    However, when used in a standard email where you have selected a Template that contains a Custom Placeholder, the email inserts bracketed text (eg [[ MISSING PLACEHOLDER - MY CUSTOM THING HERE ]]) instead of prompting for the text to use to overwrite the placeholders.   Note, this also does not prevent the user from accidentally sending the standard email without first making edits to the bracketed text. You can totally go ahead and send that email with the missing placeholder text there for everyone to see. ...read more

According to this article: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/ calling/what-are-the-call- recording-laws    NZ is one of two countries that does not include the consent message for recording calls.   Is there any way that this could be reversed? Even though you don't legally have to let people know in NZ, most companies do and it is just good etiquette.   Every client I train in calling asks about this and some have even opted out of using the recording feature as they don't want to inadvertently record conversations. ...read more
