TLDR: Add ability to pause and resume sequences in workflows based on contact activity, in addition to unenrolling based on activity. This would unlock NEXT LEVEL email automation for Hubspot users, and help salespeople everywhere be less spammy. I could create a workflow that auto-pauses and assigns me a "check email" task when someone replies. Then I could automate steps based on my email back to them. For example, if they simply say "thank you" (or similar) I could automate a "resume sequnce" step based on my response (Subject body contains: "You're most welcome!"). Or an "unenroll" step if they buy (Subject body contains: "Thank you for joining!"). Or if I don't reply within 3 days, resume sequence. This also allows me to retain any customizations I made to the sequence when I enrolled the contact initially, instead of starting from scratch when they reply. So much possibility! Currently, in workflows and sequence settings we can only unenroll a contact from a sequence (for example, if they respond or click on something in the email). Often, I customize a sequence based on deal timeline & details. If the contact responds ("thank you for sending!") all this customization is lost. It would be ideal to be able to pause that sequence instead of unenrolling, so I can avoid being spammy but still retain key customizations I made to the sequence. It would be nice for this to appear in the Sequence settings as well, but not strictly necessary.
