We have recently created a workflow allowing new contacts to submit RFP directly to our company via a form submission through our website. The customer would fill out a form and be presented a meeting link to a salesperson so they could book a discovery meeting right away. We set this meeting link to prioritize contact owners, should the customer (or their account) already have a relationship with one of our sales people. Our intention was to set up Round Robin assignment of the RFP's to our Sales Representatives (we only have 2), and attempted to use the current protocal within Hubspot to automate the assignments; however, we started seeing RFPs beign assigned to the same salesperson without alternating between the 2. Upon looking into it, we learned that the assignment is truly based on calendar availability, rather than a true round robin assignment. My idea is that a in order to have a true round robin assignment, the meeting link can be configured to show ONLY the calendar of the salesperson who is due for the next assignment. This would eliminate any path for the same salesperson being assigned several RFPs in a row due strictly to their calendar availability.
