I'd like to propose not tying the width of drop-down lists to the width of columns. The issue is that text in the lists can be long, and as a result, columns need to be made wider. This might not be a significant problem when the text is in English or Chinese, but for languages like French or Russian, where sentences can be very long, it requires making the columns wide. Because of this, only three columns fit on my screen, although ten could fit if the columns were narrower. Additionally, the drop-down list itself is intentionally narrowed. Removing the side margins would allow the entire word to fit. Proposal: 1. Do not tie the width of the drop-down list to the column width. 2. Align the text in the drop-down list to the left without extra margins. 3. Do not restrict the text length in drop-down lists – show the full text instead of a truncated part.
