Problem we are trying to solve: The ability for advanced email audience segmentation to reference multiple lists Why we are trying to solve it: We are trying to reduce the number of unique lists that we need to create (now almost at 160). Why there is an easier way: Other marketing automation platforms have advanced logic when it comes to list segmentation for emails. In marketo, you can reference multiple lists with advanced send logic for each email, or pull in unique filters into that campaign rather than creating new lists. In mailchimp, they use tags. That way, we wouldn't have to think of every unique combination of sending criteria each time we send an email and can instead, reference larger segmentations. For example: If we wanted to send an email to people in the US who are C-level who use XYZ product OR to our partners, we would easily be able to build segmentation lists for each of our main geographies, others for each buyer persona, others for product category, and another list for our partners. When we are building our list fo the email send, we would be able to say "Send email to ({Segment=US AND Persona=C-level AND Product=XYZ) OR List=Partners)". Right now, lists and segments are synonymous and there is no clear audience organization or segmentation.
