Reuseable Template definitions for imports are a must have. I am horrible missing them in hubspot. The reason is, that properties have the same names in contacts and company records. So defining a header row in excel is not sufficient to get a unique match. We have to import files from our external sales agents on daily basis and i have always to make the correction of the object in hubspot (from contacts to company). Summary: Allow mapping of spreadsheet values to existing values in a "Dropdown" property, rather than forcing identical matching   More detail: When importing data, it would be great if the values for a dropdown proprety didn't have to match exactly what was in your spreadsheet import, but you could manually map the fields from the spreadsheet to the property options upon import.   Who would this benefit: Anyone doing spreadsheet imports into HubSpot   Goal: Save time on import by mimimizing need to re-format spreadsheet before import.   Examples: Pipedrive's Spreadheet import offers this functionality. If a user in Hubspot receives a notification about an email, the email is shown in full length. However, this is pretty much annoying when trying to get an overview about recent notifications. I suggest to add a notification option limiting previews of notification entries to X characters, so you could have anything between 30 charactes and like "unlimited".   ...read more

Hi team, When a contact calls a number where recording is turned on, a voice message will play informing them that the call is being recorded per call recording laws. There should be an option to customize this recording or at least translate the recording, as there are also users who use the inbound calling feature to communicate with their customers who are non English speakers. User: Any HubSpot user with import permissions   Problem. Many large/global companies using HubSpot have required property fields, that need to be completed at a contact or company level. These required property fields are used to improve segmentation over multiple countries/product types/contact types etc. An example of these required fields would look like this. - Country (of contact) - Contact type (Patient, Doctor or Pharmaceutical) - Product Line (ProdA, ProdB or ProdC)   These companies rely on having this information completed for each contact, so they can accurately see any patterns or trends, as well as track product division KPIs. Integrations automatically allocate the correct fields to contacts based on IP country, name of form/page etc, but any manually imported contacts rely on the user remembering to add country, contact type and product line to each spreadsheet.    HubSpot imports already have the functionality to check for a unique identifier (like Contact ID) and prompt you to ensure first name, last name and email are all existing columns, in order for the import to take place.      Request It would be great if this could be expanded upon, so the company can pre-define any additional property fields, outside of the First name, Last name and Email, so any data entered into their CRM meet their business requirements.   Use Case As a Marketing manager I want to ensure all manually imported data includes our three 'required properties' (Country, Contact type, Product)  So I can confidently segment our contact data and supply our contact with the right content and the right time.  Acceptance criteria Given a HubSpot user has imported a contact datasheet When they are directed to the mapping page Then an error message will display if they have not included the business's pre-defined required fields.    Thank you. ...read more
